Life Lessons Learned

Good day, friends and fellow steemians. This is my post today.

What's a tough situation you've been through, and what did you learn from it?

Following bad friends that will teach you anything good, when I was a little boy, I had two friends, Sunday and James; we used to cut goat food together because we all have goats, so they were brothers.

They look like senior people smoking. They thought it was a good thing, and they started smoking as well. They also influenced me to join them I started smoking at the age
14 because I was the oldest among us.

One day, we were packing dirty to the dust, and suddenly, we saw that all the things we were packing were about paper, so we decided to smoke as usual because we were just paper and nothing else; when we started, we also plucked pawpaw to step it down.

That day I was the luckiest person in Nigeria. Why smoking my father called me to come and take my bath and also eat as well. Then I left them there and went home, suddenly heard a loud voice. They pepper their private part and their eyes.

What's a piece of advice you'd give to your younger self?

The advice is that don't follow bad friends that will lead your life to danger, and make sure you keep good friends. Also, don't smoke. Say no to smoking because it hits the liver and lungs.

What's the most important lesson you've learned and how has the lesson changed you?

I have learned a lot from this because after that day, I stopped smoking, and I discovered that I was putting my life in danger because my dad is a military man, and he beat me half-dead. I just thank God.

Then bad friends got me in a lot of trouble, and I decided not to keep friends anymore; apart from smoking, they controlled me to beat people that don't find my trouble. I was very fullish that I was a changed person.

What mistake taught you the most and what's the best lesson you've ever gotten?

The biggest mistake I ever made in Nigeria was to carry football as a career; sometimes, I see my young ones say they want to become a footballer. It is good, but the country is not.

If you are above 21 and you want to become a footballer, you are full. Go and look for another work you will and lose everything that God has prepared for you. So, if you are playing football for a career, then find another work for backup.

I hear by mention @okere-blessing @john247 @chiagoziee and @anthony002 to participate in this contest.
