Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 95: ...Not What you think.
Hello friends how are you all doing today I hope all is well and you all are having a nice and wonderful day, today I will be taking part in the steem4nigeria accelerator contest which is titled "Not What you think"
What do you understand by being "Misunderstood"? |
---|
Being misunderstood happens all the time to people and sometimes in actions or sometimes in verbal communication and even non verbal communications, being misunderstood is a process where by a person is unable to understand what is being said or have the wrong impression or idea of what is being said
Have you found yourself in such a situation, if yes, kindly share with us your experience. |
---|
Yes I remember a day like that though it didn't happen to me but to my friend, we were young so it was a long time ago, I remember it was a rainy day and a car got stuck, my mom was there and my brothers alongside our friends, the car tire was really stuck in mud so we needed a plank to put under so as to be able to push it out.
Now this is where the hilarious 😂 concept of misunderstanding sets in, the told one of our childhood friend his name was ime, the told him to run to the house and tell the people they to carry the plank at the backyard and give him to bring it, so Ime went they running on the slippery road and after a while he came back empty handed and as he was running back he even slip and fell down on the slippery road, then we asked him where's the plank and he said
"I thought 💭 that you send me to go and tell them to carry the plank and keep it at the backyard"
It was so dramatic and we couldn't stop laughing so we had to send someone else which of course he went and brought back the plank and the car was pushed out successfully.
How did you feel and how did you handle the misconception? |
---|
Well like I said it happened to ime and not me in particular though I was there and possibly very young at that time still in my primary school, my mom who sent Ime to carry the plank knew that he was overwhelmed by the whole situation most especially we were all gisting and laughing so much she knew that it was just a minor misunderstanding so she sent some else who was my senior brother.
Is there any advice you would love to give to your readers so they don't find themselves in your shoes. |
---|
Yes, my advice to my readers is that it is always very wise to ask questions when an instruction is being given so as to avoid misunderstanding and misinformation so as to not end in a rather hilarious or embarrassing moments as that of Ime as narrated in the above.
This will be where I'm going to call it a day and I will like to invite some of my friends @sahmie, @ginwank & @samuelbrilliant
