"The wall"

A wall is like a stumbling stone, a mountain, a blockage, a stopper, a limitation, something that hinders you from moving forward. But still without a wall, there won't be privacy, security, noise reduction, personal boundaries etc... Even the bible says that "A man without self control is like a city broken into and it's left without a wall.

Looking at it, the wall is in different context, it could mean good and bad at the same time, but is your own wall? That's the question I have been asking myself and I had to reflect to get my mind settled.

There are so many things that could serve as a wall to us depending on how we view it. Let's take a look at "the love of money." We all know that money is good but the love and lust of money is bad which could serve as a mountain to us without our knowledge. A lying tongue, evil heart, pride, and all other evil serves as a mountain to us, almost immediately we forget.

You know, the devil usually attacks us using our weak point, but when we have those walls built around us, it keeps us safe not completely but for that moment. A wall can be broken but your readiness to keep raising it when is falls keeps you safe.

It will be so important that we look at the positive aspect of the wall and then the negative aspect too because it's a two way thing. Walls are specifically built to keep intruders away and keep people inside safe, but as an insider, it can only keep you safe if you have self control. It's like being contented with what you have.

I watched a video of two brothers who were caught in the middle of an operation, when they were asked some questions, the younger brother said he was the one who started making money from yahoo business and his first income was 11 million and kept making money until his desire for more led him to buy a gun and start robbing people. That is lack of self control. He wanted more and in the middle of that he was caught.

I don't know what your wall might be, but you know already what it is. Just have it at the back of your mind to either break off or build up. Don't let the wall you build today hinder you tomorrow.

If you are building a wall for your security, boundaries, it's a good thing because that wall will protect you and keep you safe. Try not to be that city that is broken into and is left without a wall.
