The diarygame 12/06/2025// ATTENDING THE FRIENDLY MATCH BETWEEN TEAM HFC AND TEAM STAYFIT// ATTENDING THE IKPAISONG IBIBIO CULTURE MEETING
My greetings to everyone, hope we are all fine? For me, I am good.
On the 12 of June was a very busy day for me, earlier I have promised @ngoenyi to be at the field to backup our team which is STAYFIT because we were to play a friendly match between Team HFC and team Stayfit and to the glory of God, the match was in our favour.
That early morning, since we were to meet at our training center before we moved down to the venue which the match will be played. I left my house as early as 6am and I was at the field before 7am, I picked up my phone and dialed our coach number to inform her that I was at the field, she responded that she is close. With no wasting of time, she was at the field.
We waited for others STAYFIT members to come so that we can move as a team, in no time they arrived, those that is owned a vehicle help in transporting those without a car to the venue for the match.
By 8am and few minutes we were at the venue where our opponent ask us to meet, reaching there TEAM HFC were making alot of noise that they are going to deal with us with goals, that they are 100% ready, that they will deal with wotowoto.
The fear the put in us was too much, to me I was a little bit afraid though I our players were all ready.
In less than no time, both players changed up and line up for the match.
The players were 11 players both teams, each team has 3 girls and 8 boys making it 11 players each.
The refreing blow his whistle for the match to start, the refreing was a neutral person. They both players started playing, one thing about this was that it was too bad, the field was full with water because of the rain and it didn't allow the players to play comfortable.
As they were playing, before we could say Jake, our team has scored one goal, and we the back up were so happy.
As they were playing the ball, I stood up and walk round the field, one side of the field people were playing hand ball and they were in three sections.
I had to video them so that we can all see how they were playing, so while videoing, I noticed some of them were beginners and they were learning so well and some of them were professionals.
After videoing, I went back to my seat to continue watching the ball. First half lasted for about 45 minutes and STAYFIT team scores 3 and HFC team score 1, so the match was 3:1 at first half. They rested a little and start playing for second half.
The second half was another tough time for the opponent team because we scored them again, they finished with a total goal of 4:1 we lead them. Though it would have been 7: 1 but the refreing cancelled 3 goals saying it was upside. Any ways we didn't bother because already we scored the other team 4 and they only scored us 1.
After the match the HFC ask us to wait that there was refreshments. This guys were ready to host us, they cooked better jellof rice that even the color self will make one to be hungry. Varieties of drinks were there, we eat enough and drank whatever drinks we wishes to drink, there was soft drinks, spirit, beer , etc. if one wants to follow the drink, you can drink and get drunk.
I really enjoyed myself, after eat
ing we went back home, I couldn't eat again.
Reaching home I rested for some minutes and our Ikpaisong ibibio women meeting time was closed, so I stood up, freshen up and get ready for the meeting. The meeting was 4pm but I left my house by 3pm, reaching there it was myself and the assistant women leader was present.
One might want to know what I mean by Ikpaisong.
Ikpaisong ibibio is a group that is form for us to know our root, culture and how things were made in the olden years.
Some of us are born without knowing much about our root and the culture of our partners. Like in my family once a woman is married, you are not permitted to fornicate and if you do, weather you are cut or not, your children will die.
Like my step mother got married to my father and she was still sleeping with my father, before you know two of my step sister and brother died the same day without sickness, and when my father find out, my step mother was sleeping with different men.
So this Ikpaisong ibibio is to open people's eyes to know all this tradition, Is to make people to be alert at any given time, you should know the family you are married to.
The group has the male section, the female section and the youth section.
So the meeting I went to was the female section which we call Ikpaisong ibibio women's assembly. Our meeting days is always every 2 Thursday of every month.
Since the group is still new much people were not there, the meeting started by 4:30 pm and ended by 6pm, a lot was discussed which in due time I will share with us.
After the meeting there was refreshments, we drank and eat.
I left the venue by past 7am because I am the treasurer of the group so I had to seat and table the list of people that bought uniforms, those that paid for dues and those that registered.
I return home with so much tiredness, I couldn't feel myself again because I was already stressed, I reached home and I couldn't eat again, I just took my bath and I went to bed .
So guys this is were I draw my curtain, see you guys next writing.
