This was on Friday last week, I went to my friend lodge to read my books because they always on generator every day, so after reading I was very weak to go back to my lodge so I slept over.

The name of this lodge is Pathegon Lodge, in Funai, Udufu, Alike Federal University, Ebonyi State.
This lodge is the biggest lodge in Funai, because it is about 5 different buildings in the compound.
I like this lodge so much because it is always neat, quiet, and very conducive for studying.

So as my girlfriend and I were sleeping on Friday night, around 12mid night the house started making noise, it was as if it wanted to fall down.

I heard this for the first time, so I decided to wake my girlfriend up, but she told me I should go back to sleep, saying How can this big house fall down.

I went back to sleep but my mind was never at rest.

Some students packing out

In the morning, I woke up as early as possible and came out because the house kept on making noise and giving us a sign that it wanted to fall down. I started entering all the rooms in that lodge to wake them because I was very scared and afraid.

We all came outside, some students brought out their important documents and other things, within one hour the building started falling down.

Thank God 🙏 that we all came out on time before this happened; nobody died, just that some students are now homeless, and some properties were destroyed.

Then I asked myself, where is the problem coming from, is it from the owner of the house or the engineers who built the house?

But if you ask me, I think the problem is with the engineers who built the house.

Some students are now homeless, because some of their food, clothes, and even phones were still inside before this happened.

This is the screenshot from the chat, where someone chatted with me yesterday asking for help.

It is really painful, but above all, thank God that no lives were lost.

All the rooms are now empty.

I reached there today after church and find out that the government has sealed the house.

I want to invite @kidi40 @josepha, and @tempestinyang to also join this contest.

So heartbreaking especially the message, good thing all life are save cause the opposite would've been so terrifying and sorrowful.
