In today's world, humility is "an endangered attitude", one that is almost getting extinct. Real humility is a rare quality that embodies modesty and an unassuming spirit with that readiness to recognise one's place, limitations and weaknesses, open to learning and accepting correction. While striking a balance between maintaining a very healthy dose of self-esteem and avoiding traces of boastful-arrogance.

What does humility mean to you? Explain.?

In my opinion, I believe humility is my ability to accurately weigh myself and correctly estimate my true value, while I properly balancing my self-esteem such that it does not deteriorate into pride or arrogance. Humility will make me teachable, aware of my strengths and weaknesses, which often results in higher intelligence and good judgment, and a relationship with others.

Humility is in very short supply these days because everyone in their pride wants to believe that the world revolves around them. So puffed up with pride that if you observe an average person crossing the road, so full of themselves that they believe all vehicles should stop, allowing them to use the road as a catwalk, strutting majestically across.

This is not limited to pedestrians and is seen among both young and old, males and females. It is also obvious that those driving expensive luxury vehicles feel a sense of superiority, prioritising their own convenience over others, which is a clear lack of humility.

Do you think all quiet people are humble?

No, I do not assume that being quiet is evidence of humility. Some quiet people may be humble, but sometimes the quietness is due to being an introvert and not necessarily as a result of humility. So there is no direct correlation between being humble and being quiet.
Humility is more about how a person views himself relative to others, rather than an outward behaviour like quietness.
A person may be quiet because he believes he is the most intelligent person in the room, which is not humble.

Emotional intelligence
A humble person is emotionally smart

Modesty
A humble person is a modest person who regardless of their many achievements, their humility will not let them boast about it even when they realy know who they are and what they are worth.

Self-awareness
A humble person is very self-aware, they know what their exact strengths, limitations and weaknesses is and avoid over selling themselves.

Open-mindedness
Humility makes a person open-minded, willing to listen, learn, accept correction and consider others' perspectives.

Gratitude
A humble person appreciates and shows himself thankful.

A humble person is not fooled into believing that this world revolves around them. They know their place. They believe that life will go on without them and nobody owes them anything.
It is easy to feel comfortable around a humble person because they are not in competition with everyone else. So they are respectful and can see clearly the fine qualities in others.
They can hold and sustain good relationships with both humble and proud people

A proud person is always ready to blow his trumpet at any slight opportunity. Spending the whole time bragging about the exaggerated person they believe they are. Let's call it self-aggrandisement. They don't care if they are stepping on you to look big.
