A Creative Spark Ignited. [27-05-2025]

May 27th, was a typical Tuesday morning for me and my apprentice, Emmanuel. As his mentor, I had planned a special session to teach him the art of designing simple flex banners, specifically for a POS services business.

My goal was to guide him through the process, answer his questions, and ultimately, watch him create his own masterpiece. As we sat side by side, I began demonstrating the design process. I showed him how to choose the right colours, fonts, and graphics to capture the essence of the POS services business.

Emmanuel watched intently, his eyes wide with curiosity, as I worked my magic on the design software. After I had designed several POS flex banners, I turned to Emmanuel and asked if he had any questions. He nodded eagerly, and we spent the next 30 minutes discussing the intricacies of design. I was impressed by his inquisitive nature and willingness to learn. He asked thoughtful questions, and I was happy to provide detailed explanations.

Once Emmanuel felt confident that he understood the design process, I assigned him a task: to create his own POS flex banner design from scratch. I gave him the freedom to express his creativity, and he set to work with enthusiasm. As he worked, I monitored his progress, offering guidance and encouragement whenever needed.

Finally, after several minutes of concentrated effort, Emmanuel presented me with his design. lexamined his work carefully, taking note of the colors, fonts, and graphics he had chosen. While his design showed promise, there were a few areas that needed improvement. I gently pointed out the mistakes, explaining how he could Correct them.

Emmanuel listened attentively, his face lighting up with understanding. He made the necessary corrections, and when he showed me the revised design, I felt a sense of pride. His creation was impressive, and I knew that he had learned a valuable skill.

As we concluded our session, Emmanuel beamed with pride, knowing that he had created something truly his own. I smiled, knowing that I had played a part in igniting his creative spark. It was a moment of triumph, not just for Emmanuel, but for me as well. For in teaching, I had also learned the value of patience, guidance, and the joy of watching someone grow.

Thank you for going through my post. Do have a great time ahead.
