To my understanding, a tailor is a skilled professional who cuts, designs, and sews clothes (fabrics) to suit individual preferences, body measurements according to fashion trends. Unlike already-made clothes, a tailor's work begins with measuring fabrics to sewing.

What are some criteria for a good tailor?

A good tailor should possess the following;

• Creativity, which means a tailor can interpret fashion trends and personalised styles for his or her clients.

• Precision and skill which means having the ability to cut and sew neatly with finishing touches from beginning to end.

• Good communication skills which include the ability to listen to his or her clients' needs and give them professional advice

• A good tailor should be honest with his or her clients.

Yes, I have been disappointed by a tailor before, and my most recent disappointment with a tailor is when the tailor that I gave my clothes to sew failed to deliver on time, as the outfit wasn't even as I expected it to be, as it came out different from what I showed him.

Frustration was my reaction which I later realised that shouting wouldn't solve the problem. Instead of continuous shouting, I calmly explained my dissatisfaction with him, and then asked him to correct his mistake and ensure he satisfied his clients next time.

Yes, I can recommend my personal tailor because of the following reasons.

The shop of my personal tailor is clean and he is a welcoming person with proper lighting and display of fabric, which makes customers feel more comfortable with him.

Also, his price is very affordable compared to what other people are charging, and finally, he is a very friendly person who always presents the best for his customers.
