Application for Season 24 Steemit Learning Challenge - The Construction Zone

Shelter, as we well know, is one of the essential and basic needs of man. Beyond the provision of shelter, it should provide us with comfort, confidence, security, and relaxation, among many others. A shelter becomes deficient if any of these or another is found lacking; hence, having a complete shelter requires the attention and involvement of an expert.

In response to the call for application by the Steemit team through @steemitblog, I made up my mind to apply and bring to the knowledge of everyone the requirements, elements, and factors that make a complete residence. The program is poised to help everyone have firsthand knowledge and ideas in the construction of residential structures.

Participation isn't limited to any particular place, person, race, language and what have you.

The program is as scheduled as follows for the week;

Elements of A Building Plan

This aims at bringing to knowledge the essential components of a building plan - also known as floor plan - which includes site plan, floor plan, building elevations, etc.

Structural Design

This has to do with the process of planning, designing, and giving details to the elements of the building to make sure that it can withstand stress as well as loads

Beams and Columns

These are among the very important elements of a building upon which the support and stability of a building depends.

Electrification

Think of what life would be like to have a shelter or a building without power. This can be likened to a car without an engine. Therefore, electrification refers to the installation of an electrical system and infrastructure in a building to provide it with power.

Dimensions

This is the measurement of the different components of a building such as windows, rooms, walls, doors, etc. Accuracy in dimensions ensures proper fitting together of the building's parts as well as aesthetic appeal.

Fittings

These are the components installed in a residential building basically after the primary structures and services which enhances the aesthetic appeal, functionality, and comfort of a building.

The program looks forward to engaging participants to not only acquire theoretical knowledge but also expose them to practical knowledge of the elements of their place of abode by engaging them in an exploration of these places of abode.

Through thorough evaluation and assessments of entries which will involve application of markdowns, originality of content, as well as compliance with and accuracy of answers to given tasks, which will be carried out using every available measure, the best four students will be selected.

In respect of team members, I will, at the moment, be working alone until I can connect with one or two persons who have the same concept.

My name is Mr. M. E. Daniel, @hisgeneral. I joined the Steemit platform in 2021 and have been blogging.
I have, over the years, developed theoretical and practical knowledge in residential building construction, which was born out of natural technical skill and nurtured by my enthusiasm for technical work. In addition to being knowledgeable in residential building construction, I have served and still serving in the capacity of an electrician which has given me a balance in the residential building construction field.
Currently, I am running both electrical and residential building construction services.
