There’s someone in your life right now who is smiling, laughing, acting like they’re on your side. But behind that mask is a ticking time bomb waiting for the right moment to destroy your peace.

You think you know your enemies? They’re easy to find out cos t lolhey hate you openly. But frenemies? They disguise their knives as handshakes.

And the worst part, They were never your friend, they just decided to be with you for their own gain.

A frenemy is there to get closer and destroy you, they are always supportive but they don't over do it, the celebrate your wins but never too loudly.

You won’t spot them immediately because they’re masters of disguise. They don’t argue. They don’t fight. They wait. And when you least expect it, that's when they strike.

Yes, I’ve met them. They’ve smiled at me, laughed with me and walked beside me.

One always hyped me up publicly but secretly laughed at my failures.

One always advised me, yet their advice only led to disasters. How?. That's the question I asked myself, but that's how they move.

One claimed they were happy for me, but their eyes showed jealousy, always staring at me, I knew he had interior motives.

They work like a slow poison. By the time you realize what’s happening, you’ve already let them win.

1️⃣ Watch their energy when you succeed.

Do they smile, but their eyes don’t?, Do they disappear when things are going well for you?, you can create a fake scenario of needing their help, ask for something you know they have and can easily give, if they decline , then congratulations you've won🎖️.

2️⃣ Test them with a fake secret.

Tell them something small but make sure it's false.

If it spreads then you’ve caught your frenemy red-handed.

3️⃣ Check their consistency.

A real friend is the same in every situation, if they shift their body language or behavior based on who’s watching. You've found out.

A real friend is the opposite of a frenemy. They don’t compete with you instead they grow with you.They tell you the truth, even when it hurts. They defend you in your absence. They want you to win, even if they gain nothing from it.

A frenemy wants to see you do well but they never want you to be better than them. A real friend doesn’t match your success with theirs.

Be more unpredictable Than Them
Frenemies thrive when they know your next move, you behave in a particular way that's why they can predict you. If they can’t predict you, they can’t manipulate you.

One day, act clueless.The next, outplay them.
And when they least expect it, disappear from them completely.
