Expressing my creativity through art

Good day to everyone and my fellow Nigerians steemians, it's @emmaboy23 here today to share my creativity with you all. Today I was feeling a little bit bored at home not knowing what to do and so i thought why not make a drawing, since I've been told am good at it and so I did. Art has always been my favorite way to express what words often fail to say. Whenever I pick up a pencil, I feel a connection between my inner world and the blank page in front of me. So without wasting much time let's see how I drew this portrait of a girl wearing an eyeglass, stay tuned and be blessed.

• eraser
• sharpener
• black pen

Drawing process

step 1

When I began the drawing, I didn’t start with a clear plan. I allowed my imagination to guide me. I sketched a soft, oval face with calm eyes, and mouth and soon found myself adding glasses.

Next I then used my black pen to colour her eyes and her eyelashes as well.

After doing that, I then went ahead to begin to sketch the hair of the girl using my light pencil, then I used my HB pencil to shade it.

Here I then drew her neck and gentle shoulder.

At this point, I then added some black colour to her glasses, and then I outlined my drawing.

Finally I added some more shade and detail to her hair and then my drawing was finally complete.

In conclusion, drawing a girl with eyeglasses is not simply a technical exercise but an artistic journey. It is a piece of my creativity, a reflection of my thoughts, and a silent story told through lines and shading. It reminds me that creativity isn’t about being perfect—it’s about being honest, expressive, and brave enough to let your imagination speak.
