MY TRIP TO OFFSHORES

Hello guys, this is how part of my day went as i resumed duty today after a short time off.
I am marine Engineer and yesterday being 25th Day of june which is set aside to celebrate Day Of Seafarers and was tagged My Harassment free shipment we celebrated it with style and had a long day full of fun.
Today i set sail to resume duty in a profession i chose with my whole heart.
The beautiful thing about my profession is that its so unique. You hav the privilege to sail through the seven seas, tour countries and get to see different cultures.
Depending on the type of boat you are working, you can sail for months and this is where th challenge is.
There is a saying "YOU CANNOT EAT YOUR CAKE AND HAVE IT" The moment you made up your mind to take up this carreer, be reat assured that you will so much miss miss your family, freinds and lived ones.
I currently work in a Jack up barge and we do use chopper to access our barge during embarkation and when we disembark.
We go through some safety courses and obtain certifications before we are eligible. Courses like BASIC OFFSHORE SAFETY INDUCTION and EMERGENCY TRAINING (BOSIET), OFFSHORE SAFETY PERMIT (OSP)
And some medical fitness tests to be conducted as well as others.
I wil be onboard on this itch for about 6 weeks and i do hope to have an amazing itch .
I do hope to share my daily activities as the day goes by.
