George E AKA Alanta is a seasoned Marine Engineer who was my superior officer back then at school, the prestigious Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron, a Merchant Navy institution that has produced seasoned engineers and Captains in the industry for more that 4 decades and still standing with great standards.
Meeting Atlanta yet again in the field of work agter maney years we parted ways was an awesome and an amazing experience, oweing to the fact that i know the impact he will inject to me during that particular itch.
On that beautiful day, our generator was due for servicing and we embarked in the mission to service and be on standby for engagement.
As an Engineer, servicing of generator doeas not only stop at when its running hours set by Manufacturing company is due but comes with great benefits which include but not limited to the following:
EXTENSION OF EQUIPMENTS LIFE This helps identify potential issue of the Machinery before they turn into major issue.
INCREASES THE OPTIMAL EFFICIENCY OF THE MACHINERY this aids in reducing high fuel consumption, hence reducing operational costs amd aswell runs smoothly.
REDUCES DOWNTIME issues are addressed while servicing so it wint even becaome an issue in future by causing breakdown or malfunction.
ENHANCES SAFETY Harzards are easily identified in the process.
ITS A REQUIREMENT FROM THE MANUFACTURING COMPANY AND CONVENTION.

We succeeded in servicing the generator and test run to be sure and a successful task.
We did carried out our JSA in order to mitigate possible hazards.
