Hello, amigos; it is my pleasure to participate in this contest; regardless of your profession in life, either engineer, soldier, pilot, or doctor, you have to know that life has its ways and live according to your expectations. But as for me, I am still a student who is writing in the WASSCE examination.

Which topic above did you choose and why?

The topic of my choice was the one which has the phrase "Life as a student or worker", but in my case, I am a student. The reason why I made this topic my choice is because right now in my life I have to focus on my academic pursuit. Education is what I need now in my life, I see education as the backbone to success in life. It is my life as a student where I can obtain knowledge about my dream job which Is to become a Laboratory scientist. Education is where adolescents like me can learn good behaviors, reasoning, and creative skills.

  • Life as a student

Let me start by saying that I have enjoyed my life as a student, and I am still enjoying it today. A school is a place where individuals who are called students come to acquire knowledge to the home useful and reputable people in the society. I can vividly remember back in my JSS1 days when we used to come to school early, but anytime I couldn't wait, I would not be flogged, which was funny because I followed the old bus, so if I was late, it was a use of the school bus.

Being a student has been fun over the years sharing ideas with classmates and gaining more knowledge from teachers, I came across a lot of individuals with different kinds of characters, getting to know the serious and the unserious students in class, some students are funny the in the whole class and teachers laugh causing a teacher to hardly punish them. Some friends are formed of not performing morning activities and their homework; those who have gone to secondary school can recall that they usually copy from their classmates the homework which they might not have done.

Teachers are one of the smartest people in the world, being able to know the handwriting of several students despite teaching a lot of students over 500 to 1,000. I can still recall a time when my classmate took my book and used it to do his homework without telling me; I was curious and told him not to do it again, but instead of apologizing, he was arrogant and told me that someone could just play with someone again. I got angry and told her teacher, and he was punished severely. I decided not to do such a thing again because I saw it as making someone feel pain for unnecessary reasons. I didn't tell myself to only report to the teacher when it got out of hand.

How long did it take you to come up with this creative idea in mind? Did you research to get the idea or did you rack your brain?

To be specific, it took me about 30 seconds just to come up with this creative idea. I am a creative person; I know what to paint once you give me instructions. Ideas come from your inner self; then it is left for you to put them into reality. There was no way I could research this; doing that would make me feel that my brain was not working at the level that is expected to work.

Brain racking is what helps to develop our mental capability, making us fast-thinking and problem-solving individuals. Researching is to gain more knowledge, but it is better to be real, especially since the contest emphasizes real images; it means that we should also create real contests, which has been the policy of the Steemit platform.

What's the idea behind the picture you used? Can the picture be understood without text?

IMG_20250521_092836_865.jpg

The picture that you are all viewing conveys the message that I am a student. A student who is ready to learn. Seeing me in a uniform and hanging my school bag should be able to particularly convince any person that who is in front of him or her is a student.

The picture also conveys being someone who likes staying alone. I'd like to revive myself and get to know the kind of environment that I am in, thinking about my future and how to make my dreams come true. Students are not researchers who make findings to get more knowledge to step ahead of their teachers. Without being told I am sure that you can know that the individual in this picture is a student.

Do you use original pictures or online pictures when participating in a contest?

In the participation in several contests throughout the week, I mostly make use of source pictures, and I also use original pictures. There are some contests in which you can't make use of original pictures, like the one concerning an airplane, where you cannot go to an airport to take a picture of an airplane. But when it comes to contests that are particularly talking about friendship, school life, and family activities, you can make use of original pictures; making use of original pictures is recommended for this kind of contest.

CONCLUSION

When content creators like us, steemains, make use of original pictures, we can make our work look more real and earn votes from curators. It also makes the content look more realistic, showing that you have more knowledge about what you are writing. Making use of original pictures also creates a feeling that you have taken the contest seriously, which is practically true. Why do you think that steemcurators normally curate posts that contain original pictures? It is because of the beauty that original picture adds to content; original pictures also boost your chance of winning and help you to get recognition from individuals.
