What does humility mean to you? Explain.
Humility is the quality of being humble and the opposite of being proud. Humility involves:

• Respecting other people regardless of their social status, religion, race or physical look.
• Respecting other people's opinions, strengths and limitations.
• Valuing other people as you value yourself.
• Accepting one error or mistake and making corrections. It, at the same time, involves accepting your wrongs and asking for forgiveness.
• Considering other people's needs before your own and making sacrifices to meet their needs.
• Being teachable and not bending your rules or what you already know.

Do you think all quiet people are humble?
The answer to this question is NO. Being quiet has nothing to do with humility because quiet people simply mean people who talk less, and humility, on the other hand, is the virtue of not being proud. I have seen people who are quiet and are completely the opposite of humility. I have also seen people who talk a lot but are the epitome of humility. They are respectful, they admit their wrongs and put other people's needs ahead of their own. Therefore, quietness is not a parameter or instrument to determine whether someone is humble or not.

State the characteristics of a humble person.
There are many characteristics of a humble person but I will talk about four (4) only:
- Teachability: Teachability simply means ready and open to learning. A humble person is always ready to learn and never claims to know it all.
- Non-judgemental: Humble people don't condemn or form opinions about other people
- Patience: Humble people tolerate the excesses of others, giving them room to improve or change for good.
- Respect: Humble people respect other people which has to do with their personality, views, opinions, strengths and limitations.

What do you admire about humble people? Explain.
What I admire most about humble people is their simplicity. They relate well with others, they make a lot of sacrifices to put smiles on the faces of others, and they always want to be at the back as they push and watch others succeed.
I also admire their large heart of tolerance and patience. They accommodate every nonsense, limitation and stupidity of others and allow them to improve or change for good.

What turns you off in proud people? Tell us.
What turns me off completely from proud people are:

• Their attitude of boasting. You will always see them showing their achievement and taking the glory belonging to others or the team to themself
• Resistance to criticism: These people easily criticise others but don't always want to be criticised. They always justify the reasons for their actions or inaction and claim they know it all.

My experience as a teacher of Mathematics in the Secondary School has taught me to:

• Be patient: I learn that some people are fast learners and some are slow learners. Therefore, in everything I do wherever I find myself, I am conscious of that.
• Never give up on or condemn someone
• I am slow in making a decision, which always allows me to hear others and, most of the time, key into their opinion.
• I am teachable: I accept my errors and allow myself to be taught even by my students.
• I am the type of person that doesn't always want to be noticed.
• I am receptive to virtually everything I do.

With these, it is easy for someone to say whether I am humble or not.

Conclusion
Humility is a virtue that every human being is supposed to have as it will enhance growth, promote empathy and unity, and it will help us to value our diverse perspectives.
