It was a Friday, last week to be precise. I was given an invitation to attend @inemesituwah matriculation as a student of the university. We call them Freshers no doubt. So they literally had their fresher's party that day — a welcome ceremony into the university. To gain admission in the university isn't that easy except one is determined to.

My use of not easy may not be the right words as most people gain admission into the university but not in their desired discipline. They just want to leave the house to avoid shame. So they pick up any available discipline. Fortunately for the celebrant, he got admission in his desired discipline and as a way of celebrating the victorious ones, the school placed a matriculation that day which I was in attendance. Let me give you the narratives.

Preparing to Leave for the event

I did my daily routine with time consciousness In mind to support my very own. I considered the scriptures and ensured I had my breakfast before leaving instead of depending on eating food there. I placed @ngoenyi on call so I'll leave with her as I had other contracts to run in terms of photography. When it was time to leave, i visited @judelsuper supermarket to wait for her. We then left together on a boarded bus to the school campus.

Since @ngoenyi was new to the campus, I made it easy for her starting from the transportation down there. During Uniuyo matriculation, the traffic is usually uncontrollable and people boarding tricycles or using their cars may find it difficult to arrive the venue in time due to the traffic. It would be better to trek from the gate down to the event centre. Trekking under the hot sun for 25 minutes was what I avoided as the venue from the gate is approximately 25 minutes trek if one is trekking comfortably.

To curtail this, we boarded a motorcyclist with two wheels who would take us through the traffic as the motorcycle he rode isn't as big in size as a car. While others were struggling to bypass the traffic with their rides, we were passing through little paths created by these vehicles and got there in time. All thanks to the bike man.

Our bill was a total of 1200 to arrive the venue. It was actually cost effective and convenient because we used a motorcycle there. That's the advantage of this motorcycle that day. The crowd was of good capacity and network was a big problem. I couldn't reach out to my clients because their lines weren't going through and they couldn't reach out to me as well. The use of landmarks were necessary that day through text messages.

That was how I was able to connect them and BOOM, I saw @whizzbro4eva, @nsijoro, @imohmitch and @davidmarkgeorge. We were just so excited seeing ourselves in person once more after weeks of being indoors. @whizzbro4eva brother was among the matriculating students. He came off this purpose and good enough, I got to know his parents and siblings.

We met @mesola where his parents sat and we took pictures together. Her son @inemesituwah was the Steemian matriculating into the university. His mother's face was filled with joy seeing him in his glory. @imohmitch was the photographer of the day. For the first time this month someone captured.e with a group of friends. I'm always the photographer in question. After sharing photographic moments, Mesola gave us transport fare to the sit-out she arranged to entertain us.

It was at this point we started doing unintentional hide and seek. I couldn't use Google maps to locate persons because network was a problem. @whizzbro4eva was no where to be found. @ngoenyi and I started looking for him. I then left @ngoenyi at a landmark to do the search. In the process of searching, I found @imohmitch and his friend. We then came to the spot I left @ngoenyi only to find out she wasn't there.

The crowd was serious crowding and one can easily get lost. Some parents couldn't find their children in the crowd. My eyes saw a woman who was just so confused, probably she has been looking for her child but to no avail. She started showing people the girl's picture if they have seen her. I felt for her. Not finding @ngoenyi and @whizzbro4eva was another problem. We then left to the gate with the hope of seeing them after several search.

We finally saw them and left to the sit-out at udoudoma. We go there in no time and waited for the celebrant to arrive before celebrating grace. While waiting, I couldn't keep the visitors seated just like that. I thought of entertaining them with drinks first before the celebrant came, bills were on the celebrant's mother though. The moments we enjoyed there can never be replaced with any rare moments.

Seeing Steemians turn up for you in an event is a experience you'll always live to remember. We entertained ourselves with what she arranged for us. Drinks were in surplus that we drank to our satisfaction. Other Steemians that later came for the celebration were; @benton3, @samuelnkenta, @jozzie90, @basil20 and @toflex. We had the best of time ever. I then left the sit-out to attend to my photography contract which I was called upon to do.

We took pictures before departing with @whizzbro4eva and @imohmitch. It was the anniversary of my friend, so I had to give him a portrait using my mobile. It was dark though so we had to use artificial light. I didn't bring my equipment which would have given me what I wanted. So I had to make do with what I had. These are the few pictures I captured with my Redmi .

It was a massive celebration of a Steemian and with Steemians. I can't forget this day in a hurry. Even if I'm to forget the date, I'll not forget the fact that I ate sharwama in secret and drank 2 bottles of champion.

Congratulations once again to @inemesituwah

Ohhh wow, i thought the bills were on you, congrats to them on the anniversary, you are welcome boss

Appreciated Sir

Even if I'm to forget the date, I'll not forget the fact that I ate sharwama in secret and drank 2 bottles of champion.

I see why you told us that you are coming several times without any appearance. The sharwama did a nice job in holding you there at Ibom Tropicana mall. Because of this, I've wised up to realize that all bills on @bossj23. Congratulations to the matriculants. That day was stressful but exciting because I was on a mission to find several people in a midst of a large crowd. That's how I disappeared but am glad we reconnected and the mission was successful.

You played us hide and seek they day 🤣🤣. Anyways, it was good seeing your parents and your brother on the horse's back.... He's flying higher oh. Save that picture for him so he'll remember when he graduates from Uniuyo they he already flew higher......

So sorry for the hide and seek game. Instead of being the player, I was being played by acting as a map to different people who came to that Matriculation. All the same, it was a great event which I adored and will always remember it. As for the bros on the horse's back, he'll see it as a motivation.
