Dear Diary,

Although Thursdays are typically my off day from construction work due to our midweek Christian meeting, today was an exception. My boss assigned me a challenging target to complete the moulding of ceiling planes, which made the day quite stressful. Nevertheless, I was determined not to let the workload prevent me from attending our midweek Christian meeting. Alright, here's how my day unfolded, balancing work and spiritual activities...

After joining my family for our usual morning devotion and prayer at 5:30 a.m., I went back to sleep, still feeling tired from the previous day's work. Just as I was resting well, assuming it was my day off, I received a call from my boss requesting my presence at the site to mould some ceiling planes that would be needed for the next day.

Heading to the nearest junction looking unhappy.

I had no choice but to quickly jump out of bed, get dressed, and freshen up before heading to the nearest junction to secure transportation to the construction site. I wasn't pleased about it, and my expression clearly reflected my disappointment, as I had been looking forward to resting on my scheduled day off.

I boarded a Keke
I arrived at the site at 8:30 a.m.

Finding a taxi from the nearby junction proved challenging, so I opted for a keke (tricycle) ride to the site, which cost me ₦200 (approximately 0.8 steem. The 15-minute journey ended with my successful arrival at the construction site by 8:30 a.m. Upon arrival, I quickly changed into my working clothes and ready to start today's work, which was to mould 20 ceiling planes as requested by my boss.

The akara and bread that I ate.

Before starting work, I bought some Akara (fried bean cakes) and bread on my way to the site, which I ate along with drinking enough water. Since I hadn't had breakfast, I was already feeling hungry. The Akara and bread combination was deliciously sweet, a perfect morning snack that I thoroughly enjoy.

27 bags of cement was intact.
The sponge was intact.

After enjoying my morning snack, I checked the storage area where I kept the white POP cement and sponge to confirm that everything was still in order. Fortunately, all 27 bags of cement were accounted for, and the sponge was intact, just as I had left it the previous day. With everything confirmed, I was ready to begin moulding the ceiling planes. Here are the materials I needed for the task...👇🏾

Scrapers.
Sponge.
Batten framed glass.

To mould a ceiling plane, I required materials and equipment such as white POP cement, clean water, scrapers, sponge, and a framed glass using battens. I began by preparing the mould, selecting a suitable sponge to make the process easier, fetching clean water, and securing the batten to the glass surface. With everything in place, I initiated the moulding process.

The Pepsi I drank.
The bread I ate.

After working for about three hours, I felt extremely exhausted and tired. I realized that hunger was the culprit, given that my breakfast of Akara and bread wasn't enough to sustain me. To address this, I quickly sold some of my cryptocurrency (Steem) to @bossj23 and used the cash to buy bread and Pepsi, which cost around ₦1,000 (approximately 5 Steem).

Heading home.
The keke I boarded back home.

After working an additional three hours, I not
only met but exceeded my boss's target. He had requested 15 ceiling planes, but I successfully completed 20. By the time I finished, it was already 2:00 p.m., so I wrapped up my work for the day and headed home to prepare for our midweek Christian meeting, which was scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m.

My dry cleaner is checking for my clothes.
I got my neatly ironed clothes.

On my way home, I stopped by the dry cleaner's shop to pick up the clothes I would wear to our midweek meeting. My dry cleaner had done a great job, and I paid ₦1,000 (approximately 5 Steem) for the service. With my neatly ironed clothes in hand, I was ready to head home and get ready for the evening's Christian meeting.

Heading to the kingdom hall.

After arriving home, I reviewed the study material for our midweek meeting to ensure I could contribute valuable insights when necessary. By 3:30 p.m., I took some time to freshen up, put on my neatly ironed outfit, and headed to the Kingdom Hall, where our Christian meeting would be held. Upon arrival, I went straight to the audio/video department to make sure the sound system is producing perfectly. Everything was set in place, exactly 4:00 p.m, our midweek Christian meeting began with an opening song and prayer.

Our Christian Meeting is ongoing.

I focused intently on the Christian meeting and gained valuable insights, particularly on being prepared for unexpected disasters by having essentials like medication, non-perishable food, and a Bible in a small bag. The meeting also highlighted how God used Apostle Paul to perform miracles, such as healing Publius, a prominent Roman figure.

Our midweek meeting concluded at 5:45 p.m. with a closing song and prayer. I felt spiritually nourished and grateful to God for the blessing. Despite the workload at the site earlier, I was thankful to have been able to attend the meeting and receive this spiritual nourishment.
