Contest: Fascination with Mirrors

Mirror is an interesting object and that is not only for us, adults but also it is interesting how animals or babies get attracted by reflection in mirrors.
I start with animals like cats, because I had a cat when I was a child. I remember that our cat spent hours in front of mirror, walking forth and back and staring into her reflection. Time to time it started to jump against the mirror. I remember after couple of months the cat then got used to that.
The other interesting observation we can have when babies see themselves and start speaking to themselves, touching, sometimes smiling and laughing.
I remember that in my childhood we were told many scary stories about mirror, that they can catch the soul of people and sometimes suck a person into this mirror world. That is why I did not look in mirror when it was dark and even nights, close to midnight.
I also heard about broken mirror and that could bring bad luck, that is why in the past I did not look into such broken mirror. But since I am grown up I do not really pay attention to that. The only problem is that you can not see the whole face and it is not so clear.
Mirrors commonly is used to look into and to make sure that we are all right, like have nicely clean face, the men shave while looking in mirror so that they can bring their skin to clean and smooth surface. Mirrors are there at cars so that we can see in rear mirror to make sure that there no cars or cyclists or even people in back, sides or anywhere on street.
In my opinion, this phase mean that we should not look back to the events that happened in our life but try to look ahead and to make our future ourselves. We should not live in our past and reviewing the events of our past life or often we say that if we lost someone we still live in out memories but we should live present and not past.
