🏵️THE DIARY GAME 🏵️

The mangoes in our orchard are slowly growing bigger, so the workload in the orchard has increased a bit now. A few days ago, it rained, and because of the rain, weeds have started to sprout. These vines and weeds wrap around the trees, causing the mango branches to droop down to the ground.

So this morning, right after waking up, I went straight to the orchard. After reaching there, I started the cleaning work. While cleaning, I noticed that a lot of mangoes had started to fall. This meant that the trees needed to be treated with pesticides. I quickly picked up a few mangoes and informed my family about it. After that, my father called the people who apply the pesticides. They assured us that they would come tomorrow to spray the trees.

After that, I continued with my work, pulling out the vines and weeds that had grown in the orchard. Last year, we faced a big problem because we didn’t realize that the vines could cover and choke the trees like this. So this year, we are staying cautious from the beginning to prevent the orchard from turning into a jungle. Thanks to this early caution, there aren’t as many weeds this time.

After that, I noticed that the mangoes on our trees had grown quite large. These are Bari-4 mangoes. They tend to grow very big and ripen towards the end of the year. Since there was no rain at the beginning of the season this year, most people’s mangoes didn’t grow much. However, thanks to the rain this Boishakh month, it seems the mangoes will get even bigger. They are very tasty — even when they are raw, they have a sweet flavor, and when fully ripe, they become even sweeter. I really love them. So while working, I would pick and eat a few mangoes.

Compared to other trees, our mangoes have grown much larger. They will grow even more, and once they are slightly bigger, they will taste even better. Right now, the seeds inside haven’t formed yet, and once they do, the slight bitterness of early mangoes will be gone, making them even more enjoyable to eat. These mangoes are also delicious when mashed into a paste.

In this way, the whole day passed working in the orchard. In the late afternoon, I came home, took a shower, and then took a nap. When I woke up, evening had already fallen.

Feeling tired from the day's work, I went up to the rooftop to enjoy the peaceful evening atmosphere. Once there, I saw that the moon looked incredibly beautiful. Since I hadn’t done much night photography with my new phone yet, I decided to give it a try. I took a selfie with the moon in the background, and the photo turned out to be really beautiful. Sitting there in the quiet, peaceful surroundings felt wonderful. Because of the full moon, it wasn’t very dark; the moonlight bathed everything in a soft glow.

After spending the whole day working in the mango orchard, the time spent on the rooftop in the evening felt truly special. And just like that, another day came to an end. It had been a long time since I had done such heavy work, which made me feel even more tired — but working hard always makes both body and mind feel good.
