Friends, today I will tell you about the day I donated blood to a dying person after finishing my office work. Today is no different from what I do every day, I wake up, brush my teeth, take a shower, freshen up and have breakfast. And I reached the office by bus within the stipulated time. After reaching the office and finishing my daily office activities, in the afternoon, suddenly my phone rang from a number I didn't recognize. I received the call and greeted her, then the other person responded and introduced herself. Then I saw that my neighbor was an aunty.

She told me about her husband and asked about donating blood. Her husband was admitted to Pangu Hospital after a road accident and needed two bags of blood for an emergency operation and she heard from my father that my blood group was also positive. When he asked me if I would donate blood, I told him yes, I can donate, I am healthy and normal, it is possible for me to donate blood. When I asked him when to donate blood, he told me to go at 8 pm. I told him, "Okay, I'll call you at the hospital at 8:00 on this number." After giving him my word, I finished my office work and left for Agargaon Pangu Hospital.

I take a bus from here to the hospital because there is no alternative to local buses when traveling within Dhaka city. Although there is a lot of traffic, there is not much traffic on that road after evening. Then I buy two glucose tablets in front of the hospital and drink them after soaking them in half a liter of water. Because when you donate blood, you can experience a lot of iron deficiency, which can cause various problems, from dizziness to nausea, so I took the preparation beforehand so that I wouldn't have any problems later. When I went in front of the hospital and called my aunt, she came to pick me up and took me to the place where the blood was to be taken. After going there, I filled out a form myself and gave it to the person working inside.

Then those aunties took the deposit and took some blood from my hand and cross-matched it and asked me to wait outside. I then sat in front of the waiting room and waited to donate blood. When the cosmetics were finished within a minute, they called me on the microphone and let me enter the blood donation room. When I went inside, I saw two other people giving blood before me. A person working inside told me to lie down on the bed, I put the blood bag next to the bed and I lay down. Then the person came and washed my left hand with a little Hexosol, tied my hand with a rope and gave me an injection. And he gave me a ball to play with, I said I was passing and the blood was being loaded into the blood bag.

I finished donating blood within three to four minutes, then I got up and came out. They kept the blood bag with the documents and asked me to leave. When I finished donating blood, I went outside with my aunt, said goodbye to my aunt, and hired a rickshaw to go home. Donating blood is definitely a noble act, so I urge everyone who is able to donate blood to donate blood to people.
