Is there an experience in your life where you've had to struggle to achieve peace? Can you share it?

Yes, at one point in my life, finding peace was very hard for me. I was going through personal difficulties and a lot of work and everything seemed to be slipping apart. I managed to face each day, hoping that other people saw me as strong as I tried to hide what I was really feeling. I had to be brave enough to face what scared me, stop worrying over things I couldn’t manage and forgive both myself and other people.

With some time to think, encouragement from my family and quiet moments alone, I started to feel better. I realized that peace comes from having the courage to skirt the pain and keep moving ahead. As a result, I noticed that I became tougher, calmer and learned the worth of patience. I have a greater respect for peace these days, as I realize how hard it is to gain and how powerful it becomes after you have it.

Do you have a way of life that practices tolerance and good coexistence? Can you share it?

I try to live in a way that celebrates tolerance and positive relations with everyone. I think we should all be respectful of people, no matter what their backgrounds, beliefs or views are. To me, the first step is making sure I truly hear, without being in a rush to form an opinion. I attempt to understand someone else’s feelings, as we all go through our own problems.

No matter how much we don’t agree, I try to stay polite and make sure others act the same way. I use kind, patient and accepting words and actions with everyone I meet. Sometimes it’s tough, but I’ve understood that peace comes from the way we deal with each other. I have learned to form stronger, more important relationships and this mindset has helped me grow. I do my best to put tolerance into practice every single day.

Hello friend, I'm glad you managed to escape that mental turbulence that weakened your mind and body.

You found peace by being alone and reflecting on the situation, discovering how to manage tranquility, which will help you manage other situations in the future.

A virtual hug.
