How are you all? I hope everyone is well. Alhamdulillah I am fine too. Today I will be taking part in a beautiful contest of the Steem Sri Lanka community. @damithudaya Sir organizing such a beautiful event.

Botanical Garden is located in Mirpur and is known as the national botanical garden of our country. This garden was established in 1961 with an area of about 208 acres.

This garden is the largest botanical garden in our country. Every year, more than 1.5 million people visit this garden.

_{Water Lily Pond .}

There are about 952 species of plants in this botanical garden and this garden is divided into a total of 57 sections. It has 7 water bodies, artificial waterfalls, Shapla Pond and Padmapukur. Shapla blooms in Shapla Pond from April to September of the year. There is also a seasonal flower garden, 52 varieties of foreign seasonal flowers are cultivated in this flower garden.

There is also a rose garden, there are about 200 species of roses and there are 22 species of roses in the vegetable garden. There are also herbal plants here, including Tulsi, Atmora, Thankuni, Ada, Telakucha, etc.

There is a nursery in the botanical garden covering about 5 acres, in this nursery, seedlings of flowers, fruits, vines, etc. are cultivated, but the interesting thing is that seedlings can be purchased from this nursery at a government-determined price. Other collections of plants include Ashoka, Baobab, Cherry tree, Mahua, Krishnachura, Kamini, Nageshwar, Amalaki, Bichitra, White sandalwood, Blood blanket, Hijal, Segun Mahogany etc.

Although this place is always in the shade of many trees, it is not so bad to walk around this place, it is always nice. However, I chose this place because it is a quiet place. I went there for the first time and it was a meeting for our STEAM for Bangladesh community. There was a beautiful quiet environment there, we were able to conduct our meet-up beautifully.

It is a nice way to go here. It is easy to get there from the largest bus stand in the city, Gabtoli. From there, you can take a rickshaw for about 100 taka. There are also several restaurants outside and a fairly good restaurant inside. There is a chicken palau there, which costs 170 taka, and there is an ice cream shop inside, where all types of ice cream are available.

The entrance fee to the botanical garden is divided into 3 parts. Usually, entry is free for people aged 1-5, 15 taka for people aged 6-12, and the entrance fee for those above 16 years is only 30 taka. However, this price has been fixed for a few days, earlier the entry fee was 100 taka. However, it is a weekly holiday, Sunday. It is open from 9 am to 5 pm.
