That Was a Shocking Moment!

It was wednesday and I was working in my unit in the hospital. That was a busy day since so many patients visit the clinic and get refferals for occupational therapy. In the afternoon I got two BHT s( bed head tickets which means the file you get when you are admitted in the hospital) sent by the wards.

I got them and registred them on the book. Then I went outside for calling the patient in to the unit. I remember I was looking at the patient for few seconds to confirm whether I was right or wrong,(I knew him) as he was sent for doing a test for assessing the memory.

That was my boarding owner, the uncle who always seemed to be a good person. I smiled and he smiled back, therefore I thought he has recognized me. I asked him to come inside, and he was with another uncle , who I got to know later as his own brother.

Before starting the assessment, I asked this question. you know me uncle right? He said "NO". The other uncle said he don't remember anything. I was shocked, because I saw him in a good health few days back. I saw major memory impairment during my assessment as well.

I was thinking that how it's possible within such a short period of time. The thing is I could not check his diagnose in the BHT as I was worrying inside even during the assessment.

Everything came to my mind like how he helped me, and how much of good qualities are living in his heart.

I hope he has gotten a temporary memory loss and will recover soon!
