I had my birthday last Tuesday. I cannot believe time is flying this fast. I still feel like the new year was a month ago. Though we like it or not, life goes on.

It was a very busy workday for me, so I didn't have any plans with my family. But I was hoping to go out for dinner with my work bestie. She wanted to go to Barista at first, but we had to go to Kzone, which is far closer than Barista, with the tight schedule we had. There we ate kottu and donuts and had some juices. And my friend was suddenly missing and she came with a cake in her hand. Kzone is not a good place to cut a cake and we 2 were alone, so she told me to go home and cut it with my family. Therefore, I changed the plan and returned home.

My family was not ready for anything because I told them that cannot come home earlier and I came home last minute. But my father has bought fried rice because they wanted to make it special for me. My sister was sad that I didn't tell her in advance that I am coming home. But anyhow, we gathered in a day after and cut both cakes.

My niece and I share the same birthday. She is 13 years younger than me. I went to her birthday party as well and I cut the cake with her too. We had some quality time there, singing and talking.

This birthday is kinda special to me. I made two wishes for the 2 birthday cakes. I will tell you why this would be special to me one day.

Anyhow, I spent a wonderful birthday with my family, relatives and friends. First, my lovely friend surprised me, then my family. I am happy for the efforts they took to make it special and to make me feel loved. I was really special indeed.

Now I am officially closer to 30 than 20, so it is a kind reminder for me to enjoy the youth before it's too late. I couldn't actually believe that I am 26 now. So, I remembered a phrase what we frequently say, "You will never be this young again, enjoy when you can."
