Weekly CRICKET Review - XC | 2025 IPL Update
Hello, fellow Cricket Enthusiasts,
You already know I am sharing a weekly wrap-up of what is happening within the Cricket community. It's the 90th edition now. After the conclusion of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, India became the champions. Guess what's going on now! It's the IPL season!
In the last two weeks, I shared a small overview about 2025 IPL, and a small update of the tournament. Currently, it's going on with huge excitement. So, let's see what is happening there.
- Out of 74 matches, 25 have already been concluded, with all the teams having played at least 4 matches.
Well, things have been slightly changed from last week in the point table. We witnessed some amazing performances and thrilling endings in many matches.
Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals are leading the table with a steady run. Eventhough GT started the things with a loss against Panjab Kings, they were able to win the next four matches against Mumbai Indians, RCB, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Rajasthan Royals.
On the other hand, Delhi Capitals are unbeaten so far with 04 wins under their new captain, KL Rahul.
SRH, MI, and CSK have been unable to capitalize on their form, resting at the bottom with consecutive defeats. Especially SRH with a dangerous batting lineup, is struggling a lot this season.
- Pooran from LSG is leading the batting chart with a wonderful tournament s for. He has been a monstrous hitter with an average of 72 and a strike rate of 225. His 87 runs off 36 balls against Kolkata Knight Riders was a game-changer. Sai Sudharsan, Marsh, Rahane, and Butler are in the top 05.
Ishan Kishan and Priyansh Arya are the only centurians so far.
Noor Ahamed of MI is the leading wicket-taker with a great average. Sai Kishore, Siraj, Hardik Pandya, and Khaleel are the top 05, and Starc and Pandya managed to bag fifers.
While most of those matches were one-sided, we had a lot of suspense in a few.
We saw Rahul's Masterclass and fiery celebration in the 24th match between Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Although KL intended to come back to RCB, he didn't get a chance. He showed his class and power in Chinnaswami stadium with an unbeaten 93 off 53 balls. The chased RCB's target of 163 runs with six wickets and 13 balls remaining.
The 21st match between Kolkata Knight Riders vs Lucknow Super Giants was a high-scoring thriller in Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Thanks to Mitchell Marsh's 81 (48 balls), Nicholas Pooran's 87 (36 balls)*, and Markram's 47 (28 balls), LSG made 238/3, a massive total. Anyway, KKR has the potential to chase it, and they came so close. Rahane, Narine, and Venkatesh got a good start, and Rinku Singh tried his best at the end but lost by just 4 runs in a thrilling finish.
In the 22nd match between Punjab Kings vs Chennai Super Kings, we saw a new star, Priyansh Arya from Panjab. Opening the inning, he scored his maiden hundred with a 245+ strike rate, producing an 18-run win for the team.
- The match between Mumbai Indians vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru was anticipated by many. Kohli, Paidkkal, Rajat Patidar, and Jitesh contributed to score 221/5 batting first. In the chase MI's top order got starts but couldn't continue. Anyway, Pandya tried his best, almost taking the team home, scoring a fiery kock of 42 off 15 balls. In the end, RCB won it by 12 runs.
So, things are getting heated. And comment on your predictions for the next match!

Dear,
Your cricket review is very nice. I watch IPL every day. The game of PSL has started from yesterday. Jason Holder was man of the match with four wickets. Every team has scored runs in the first matches in IPL. The more runs I get in the T20 game, the more I enjoy it. I look forward to seeing the batsman batting. I don't miss watching the game especially when batsmen like Puran and Narine take to the field. CSK and SRH's results in this year's IPL have not been up to expectations. I am a big fan of cricket game. I played cricket from 8.00 am to 12.00 pm on holiday yesterday. I still lead the game on the field. I won the eight-match series 6-2 in six overs yesterday. My body is hurting today due to playing with gap for a few days. I am also a cricket fan like you. Good luck to you.
Congratulations

Thank You Dear Sir....
Upvoted! Thank you for supporting witness @jswit.
Dear, SRH showed their strength in T20 in yesterday's IPL match. I think SRH team is the best T20 team in IPL. Tim David and Abhishek's T20 style batting made me happy. Two centuries were scored in yesterday's PSL match. Mohammad Rizwan and James Vince scored centuries. Although Rizwan's century was slow. Enjoying watching IPL and PSL games my friend.
Due to my busy schedule, this time I couldn't follow PSL much. That's why I am sticking to IPL only these days. Despite good players and ga reat session in 2024, SRH is not in great form this year. I guess, releasing to the best fast ballers hurts them a lot.
Bro, you are right. Cricket requires a good batsman as well as a bowler. Today's match between West Indies Women and Thailand Women was a heart breaking match. I watched the last ten overs. Bangladesh qualified for the World Cup with a run rate gap of 0.63 and 0.62. If the match was won by hitting a four and a six in the last two balls, West Indies would have gone ahead on net run rate. Today Jos Buttler was unbeaten on 97 runs. Butler showed his own game ability today.
Congratulations
