Night Wedding celeration at Paradise Bolgoda

Hello to the community!

Paradise Bolgoda is one of the most luxurious and sophisticated hotels in Sri Lanka. Last week I got a chance to attend the wedding of my close friends from the school. We were the third batch of English Medium section in my school, and there were just 13 students in the classroom. So, in the 6 years together, we were very close, and even after that, we all could maintain our friendship this far.

The location was in Colombo, and currently as I am in the hometown, I have to travelled there prior. It was around a 250km journey, and as I had more plans for the weekend, it was more comfortable for me. There were a few other friends also to accompany them.

It was a night function, and I guessed this would have been an amazing experience with the vibe of the reception and the arrangements they have prepared; which came true.

We travelled to Colombo in the morning and got dressed and prepared in a friend's home in Katubedda. It was not too far from there, and we took a taxi to reach the location.

The Poruwa Ceremony was at 5.30 p.m., and we were a bit late to the function. Once we reached there I was amazed by the elegance and beauty of it. The entrance and the walkway to the reception hall were decorated with lights, and various arrangements.

They have used the small area perfectly to deliver an amazing experience, and a special day for the weddings, engagements, and other parties.

We were greeted by her parents. She was a beautiful bride in her wedding dress. They do make a very nice couple. There was family, and friends from both parties, and everyone was enjoying it.

The location is more outdoorsy. Being on the banks of Bolgoda lake, it should be in that way. With the breezes coming from the lake, they have the option of opening and closing the roof to make things more exciting. Luckily, there was no rain.

We received pineapple juice, fruits, dates, and some snacks as the starting course. It was pleasant as expected.

When the happy couple arrived at the great hall, I congratulated them and blessed them. Their seating area was one of the best things in here. They have made a walkway into the lake, and have made the chair in the lake. So, with the decorations, it makes a beautiful backdrop for the images, as you can see above.

After taking a few images, we had to rush to the drinking area. 😂😂

There were various friendly faces, and we had good brands of alcohol as well: Black Label and a few other options. With the vibe of the lake and friendly chats, it became very memorable. We had so much to share, and it was a happy occasion for all.

The food was also very delicious, starting from Fried rice, noodles, chicken devel, and many curry items, etc. It was in a separate location, near the lake, and can't complain whatsoever.

Then we had a lot of time for dancing. The band also did a good job, and as Function was held until midnight, there was no rush with that amazing vibe. We were there until the couple left for their honeymoon, and we left the place with total satisfaction.

Once again, I wished the couple a Happy wedded life, with love and laughter.
