Flowers, Junks and Wodnerful Views on a Pineapple FIeld 062021
Hello again, my wonderful friends! how are you? I pray you are in the best shape. I heard some places start to snow already but I'm glad I belong to a tropical country. though the upper parts of the country now experience rain and strong winds.
Today's post is about what happened on June 20, 2021.
I'm doing these posts now because I wanted to clear my gallery and this will be kind of a diary to me too. I wish I could live long enough to back-read to posts and reminisce about them.
My husband and I went to Nany's house early along with the kids. He planned on staying there during the day, I should have done the laundry but he insisted.
When we arrived, the kids played with their cousins so I had the chance to snap some of Nanay's flowering plants.
And leafy ornamentals too. She call this spade, but some says its called zebra.
My husband has lots of junk stocks too, This job is dirty and can be smell too, imagine buying other people's scraps, but it really produces clean money.
Czak came to me eating a biscuit, he sat on my lap and does not want to go down, then I took us a photo together. His face is a bit dirty with the biscuit. I like to take it this way because it's a reality.
I spotted Nanay using a hand saw to build a divider, whatever it is called for her plants. We let her do her thing because she does not want any help. (samokan siya). She hates it when her plans do not come true, or if anybody suggests correction in her work.
And the kids were so well behaved watching their Papa Ton do some welding on the side car that he will be using in his motorcycle for Scrap buying.
See how creative Nanay is? she got it al done by herself.
Did you see those barbels too? they're made of concrete. I was once able to carry it before my back starts to ache. It weighs nearly a hundred kilos and was used by my father-in-law to his two sons who involved themselves in amateur boxing. but that was a long time ago, at least my husband and brother-in-law had a very good reputation.
My husband is Doing welding on the sidecar. I
I don't know what he did but the light emitted by it is painful to the eyes and the smoke smells bad.
He uses the Grinder too. I once used to look at my father do this kind of work when I was a kid, I'm interested in it but he says it's too dangerous for me. I couldn't imagine what might I be if he taught me about it at that time.
I got bored on doing nothing so I snapped another snap of flowers in Nanay's garden.
Then I asked my husband if we could deliver peanuts to my aunt who is in Manolo, and he said yes. Since it's pandemic, we didn't bring the kids with us. It's the same peanut that I posted her 4months ago.
It was too late to remember getting photos during the ride, but not that late. We already traveled 10 minutes before I took the first photo. The first gasoline station we passed from more than 10 kilometers.
We are in barangay Damilag this time, and about to go into an intersection. This will lead us to barangay Miranda.
This is the vast pineapple field owned by Delmonte, Philippines. I once posted about it here but failed to upload a good photo of it. It stretches from where we are to the base of the next hill.
We spotted birds that are resting on a barbed wire. I had to get off the motorcycle in hope of getting a good photo, but it was against the light.
Another view of the vast Pineapple plantation. I cannot remember the names of the places my husband said about the mountains he pointed to. I was too busy taking photos of it.
Lastly, at the traffic light upon going back home, we followed this Truck loaded with lots of hogs. It smells so bad but in my experience in working in a hog-producing industry, I learned that a truck can carry more than One Million pesos(20,000usd) worth of hogs, but depends on the price and capacity of the truck. Then I said to myself, "now this is the real smell of money"
This would be all for now, I rushed to finish this post because I'm about to go home. see you around.
