The Diarygame May 06, 2025 : When Waiting is Endless, Hanging Out is a Soothing Ending

Assalamualaikum wr.wb.
Dear friends, how are you today?, hopefully in good condition. On this occasion I will share a writing from the activities I have done on May 06, 2025.

Today, Tuesday, I spent my time entirely at home. Since morning, my main activity has been editing videos for social media content. Editing is not a quick job, as I have to arrange pieces of footage, harmonize transitions, and add sound elements to make the result watchable. While it may seem simple, the process takes time and concentration. But I quite enjoy this moment. Especially working from home where the atmosphere is calm.

Towards noon, I started preparing to attend a meeting with the Blang Karieng village officials. Previously there had been news that a meeting would be held, but there was no certainty about the time. I chose to be patient, waiting for information from the village secretary or other village officials. But as the hours passed, not a single message came in. This situation began to make me think, “Was the meeting canceled?” or “Did I miss the information?”

Not wanting to just wait at home with no certainty, around mid-afternoon I decided to go straight to the village hall and Geuchik Blang Karieng's office. But when I got there, the place looked deserted. There were no signs of activity or meetings about to begin. I tried contacting one of the village officials, and he only replied, Wait for me and please take a photo and send it to the whatsApp grub. But I felt there was no point in continuing to wait there without clarity. Finally, I went home and chose to wait for further news from home.

Time went on. At around 3:45pm, I went back to the village hall, hoping that this time there would be certainty about the meeting. But again, the atmosphere remained quiet and empty. The promised meeting never took place. Since I had wasted enough of my time waiting uncertainly, I chose not to wait any longer.

With Pak Muzack1 and Pak Candra at Ali Kupi

I heard from Mr. @muzack1 and found out that he was with Mr. @candra8692 at Ali Kupi coffee shop, Krueng Geukueh. Without thinking, I immediately caught up with them. As soon as I arrived, the atmosphere was immediately relaxed and I immediately ordered a black coffee drink, my favorite drink there. Small talk ranging from steemit community affairs, activity plans, to other light issues just flowed. We also ordered the mainstay menu: fried noodles + sunny side up egg from muh check. Each of us had one portion. Although simple, the warmth of friendship made the afternoon feel more alive.

At around 5pm, Mr. Candra excused himself to go home. Mr. Muzack and I stayed until around 5:30pm. On the way home, I stopped briefly at the Bujang Salim Grand Mosque to perform the Asr prayer. It was soothing to pause in the middle of my routine, taking time to pray and reflect.

At the Lasehan coffee shop

Arriving home in Cot Dua, I rested for a while until Maghrib time arrived. In the evening, I went out again, this time with my best friend @cymolan. We decided to hang out together at the Lasehan coffee shop. There we didn't just chat idly, but also worked on our coursework. With two cups of coffee and a laptop on the table, this evening was both productive and fun.

Although the original plan for the meeting didn't go as expected, the day was still full of stories. Sometimes, a seemingly ordinary day holds lessons. That waiting doesn't always pay off, but the decision to move on can open the door to other, more meaningful stories.

That's all my writing this time, thank you for your attention and see you in the next post.
