Greetings, everyone!

I hope you are well and happy! It's the holy week and I assume everyone is with their family today. As for me I am feeling great especially that I am with my family this holidays.

Yesterday, good Friday, I was with my family and we were now in the Farm where we had a small fellowship where we shared food, love and laughter!

My wife don't have to go to work and we decided to got it the farm to pay a visit to our crops and also to cut the weed off and free them. Well at least that's the original plan but things changes as we arrived. It was too hot to work already and we left out machete at home so no work was done at all.

I took my two nieces with us and the kids were all very happy with the new adventure they are having. My eldest daughter was very happy as well since she got to hang out with her cousins. It was very hot yesterday but the good thing is that there were trees near the house at the farm that provided us with good shadows and shelter.

Not long after we arrived, we started to prepare the food; my mother-in-law prepared the tabirak, and my wife helped her by grating the coconuts. Tabirak is also called binignit in our locality; it is made by boiling sticky rice and adding sweet potatoes, tapioca pearl, taro, landang, ube, jackfruit and coconut milk and is sweetened by brown sugar.

This is how the binignit looks like; to add more touch of the coconut, my sister in law and my wife agreed to put the binignit on the coconut shell and topped it with ube halaya. The result was stunning!

We used a large pot and the photo below shows howich we have cooked! It was like we are inviting the whole school, lol! But honestly, my in law's were too generous and gave some to the relatives who were too busy to cook binignit.

My wife while grating the coconuts. It was a hard thing to do but we had to endure it to be able to make a delicious food.

The binignit was done first before we realised that it was already 12 noon and we need to cook rice. I was assigned to grilling the fish and my son helped me with it. It was the sweet thing today.

The table got broken so we hand to use a bench to out the food as a make shift table and ate under the mango tree. We thought we are going to lack food that day but we golt of extra instead.

It was so much fun! We shared food, love and laughter while having the food and my wife's uncles said we are going to ake it our family tradition.

Soon the oldies talks about many things and they all had fun. It's very seldom for my mother-in-law hang out as I have observed and I was very happy for her today
.

Holidays are wonderful!

This will be all for now, thanks!
