Flowers are the reproductive structures in flowering plants. While some plants are asexual, most plants need the birds, bees and insects to help pollinate them. As such, most flowers are brightly coloured to attract the pollinators. Where the flowers are small and insignificant, they have brightly coloured bracts to attract pollinators to them.
