Bireuen Forkopimda Simultaneously Harvests Corn in Juli District.

The Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) of Bireuen Regency carried out a simultaneous corn harvest in the Blang Keutumba Village area, Juli District, Bireuen, Thursday, 5/6/2025.

The activity was in order to support food self-sufficiency, the harvest activity began by following a zoom meeting with a speech by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto via streaming, reports from a number of Regional Police Chiefs (Kapolda).

After the zoom meeting, the Regent of Bireuen and his entourage went straight to the location with corn harvesting equipment. The location of the corn land where the simultaneous mass harvest was carried out was ± 1 hectare with an estimated harvest yield of ± 4-5 tons/hectare.

The Bireuen Resort Police Chief (Kapolres) said that this mass corn harvest not only marked success in corn cultivation, but could also be a symbol of the enthusiasm of farmers in increasing agricultural production, especially in the Juli District area.

It is hoped that through this program, the community can better understand the importance of agriculture in food security and encourage local economic growth.

Meanwhile, the Regent of Bireuen, H Mukhlis after the symbolic harvest said, seeing the President's enthusiasm to achieve food self-sufficiency, of course we, the Bireuen Regency Government, support this program.

The hope is that in the future Bireuen can become a food barn for Aceh, especially corn and rice, said the Regent while saying that there are still many empty lands that can be planted with corn.

So that the land can become productive land, with the enthusiasm of the community to farm, especially since the price of corn has been controlled by the government, of course it benefits farmers, said the Regent.

In addition to the Regent of Bireuen and the Bireuen Police Chief, also attending this event were the Chairman of the Bireuen Regency People's Representative Council (DPRK), Kodim 0111/Bireuen, the Head of Juli Sub-district and other elements.
