Bireuen Regent, H Mukhlis ST, conducted a surprise inspection (sidak) to the dr. Fauziah Bireuen Regional General Hospital (RSUD), Monday, 2/6/2025.

The visit was also accompanied by the Chairman of the Bireuen Regency People's Representative Council (DPRK) Juniadi SH, Acting Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Bireuen Regency, assistants, and a number of related officials.

During the inspection, the Bireuen Regent was accompanied by the Director of the dr. Fauziah Regional Hospital, dr. Mukhtar MARS. He directly reviewed a number of medical service rooms, starting from the Emergency Unit (UGD).

There, the Regent had a dialogue with officers and greeted a number of patients who were undergoing medical treatment. After the ER, the Regent and his entourage continued their inspection to the radiology room (X-ray).

In this room, Regent Mukhlis had time to ask about the number of officers present. An employee immediately took the attendance list and read out the attendance one by one.

The review continued to various other rooms, where the Regent saw the patient service system directly and listened to explanations from the staff and hospital management.

After the review, the Regent held a meeting with the hospital leadership and medical personnel. In the meeting, he emphasized the importance of sincere work and excellent service to the community.

"This visit is to see firsthand the condition of hospital services, including the management area that needs to be fixed, and to find solutions to the problem of deficits or debts experienced by the hospital," said Regent Mukhlis.

He also highlighted the number of patients that continues to increase every day. According to him, this condition cannot be separated from the role of the Health Center which should be able to handle inpatients without having to refer to the Regional Hospital.

"Almost all Health Centers already have inpatient rooms. If the patient can still be treated at the Health Center, then it is better not to refer them to the Bireuen Regional Hospital," he said.

On that occasion, the Regent also received various input and complaints from medical personnel and management.

This is used as evaluation material to improve the quality of health services at Bireuen Regional Hospital in the future.
