Bireuen Regency Government Holds Peusijuk for 378 Prospective Hajj Pilgrims.

The Bireuen Regency Government (Pemkab), Aceh Province, through the local Islamic Sharia Service (DSI), held a peusijuk/sampena/tepung tawar procession before departing for the holy land of Mecca, Monday, 12/5/2025 morning, at the Sultan Jeumpa Grand Mosque, Kota Juang District, Bireuen.

The activity was attended by 378 Prospective Hajj Pilgrims (CJH) of Bireuen who are members of group 9 BTJ (flying group) who will depart for the holy land of Mecca on May 26, 2025 via the BTJ Aceh embarkation.

Head of the Bireuen Islamic Sharia Service, Dr. H Jufliwan, SH., MM in his report explained, the number of regular hajj pilgrims according to data obtained from the Bireuen Ministry of Religion, namely the initial number of 382 people because 4 people were postponed so that the current number is 378 people.

The four people, namely Abdul Rahman, died, and Salwa Umar did not leave because her husband died. Nurmalahayati Muhammad Yunus is sick, Jasmadi Muhammad Amin is still in Qatar.

The hajj pilgrims departed from Bireuen on May 25, 2025 to the BTJ Aceh embarkation. 378 hajj pilgrims entered the hajj dormitory in Banda Aceh on May 25, 2025 at 21.00 WIB. Departing on May 26, 2025 at 21.25 WIB, and arriving in Jeddah on May 27, 2025 at 01.30 WAS.

The youngest pilgrim Rahmad Alwa, 20, address Gampong Ule Blang, Jeunieb District, the oldest pilgrim Fatimah Mahmud, 94, Gampong Cot Baroh, Kuta Blang District.

"I hope all prospective pilgrims can perform the hajj pilgrimage well and become mabrur hajj," he concluded.

The Deputy Regent also said that the Bireuen hajj pilgrims had finished participating in the hajj manasik both at the sub-district and district levels according to the schedule and provisions set by the committee.

Today, the Bireuen Regency Government is carrying out a procession of fresh flour or ladzim called "Peusijuk" which is a tradition that applies and is still maintained until now as a form of gratitude to Allah SWT.

"On behalf of myself, family and the Bireuen Regency Government, I wish all pilgrims a happy hajj, may it be a mabrur/mabrurah hajj," said Ir H Razuardi closing his remarks.
