POEM FOR JOY

Today I found a path

in a flower.

No, no, no...

It wasn't a mistake.

I went for a walk

one of those we take in

the countryside.

The kind that take us to the river

to get our feet wet

and throw stones

into the water

to laugh at

its waves.

A screaming bird

lifted my eyes

for me to see it

painting the sky with

its yellows and

its reds.

Suddenly, there,

disguised as green,

I saw a flower

in which

I found a path

to the joy

of life.

Who said that

all is lost?
