I am disappointed. There are plenty of comments to vote for but the team simply did not.

Absence due to internet issues affected True Colours - 6 and it's not the first time team members are absent,although they know if they apply.
A team can not operate as a team if this is the case and the workload ends on the shoulders of one person.

Who are those Steemians working day and night and still finding the time to read, comment and helping out others? Who are those working against the clock, being creative, giving a helping hand? Sacrificing and... being scolded for finding the solution?
How rude are those in need? Remember: You never find a friend like me. Helpful, attentive and with a healthy dose of humour.

I once offered a solution to someone in a desperate situation. If I hadn't told them, I might have regretted it for the rest of my life. However, their response was beyond reason. Instead of thanking them, they got angry and told me not to interfere in my affairs.

This post raises a very important point true unbiased journalism feels almost impossible today. Every outlet knowingly or unknowingly carries influence from ownership politics or audience pressure. What should be pure reporting often becomes packaged narratives. As readers the responsibility lies with us too to question analyze and avoid blindly consuming sensationalism.

Regarding a narrative text written for a contest, @ty-ty told a contestant that she felt her story lacked more development. In her defense, the contestant stated that she shared her assessment, but that she failed to develop the plot better, as the contest requires a limit of no more than 800 words.

I'm so sad to read this! Did you really do your best?
This is a blog, not an exam; we are encouraged to follow certain rules, but never forced to. Therefore, obeying them is no excuse for lowering quality.

Personally, I agree with @ty-ty, as any storyteller should know that some stories require more development than others. So limiting the word count is synonymous with limiting creativity, which is contradictory on a platform like this.

@henryclive writes a post about the critical reading of an essay by Clive Staples Lewis. In it, the blogger summarizes Lewis's ideas about certain types of readers and how they make evaluative comments about the texts they read, the images they observe, and the music they listen to.

In response to one of the comments, henryclive points out that the categories developed by Lewis in his essay should not be rigidly assumed.

But you've introduced a very interesting nuance... that made me think: just because I keep revisiting my favorite lines and talking about them doesn't make me literary, just someone who thinks too much, which is probably the case most of the time.

We tried to stick to our guidelines. Comments been left where needed/to engage.
