Cryptid Hunter Curator Week 1 Report – August

1. Game Growth and KOL Participation

Cryptid Hunter has shown positive growth in the first week of August. The number of users has increased compared to July, and notably, Korean Web3 KOLs have joined the community. So far, three KOLs have participated, becoming active in the Steemit service ecosystem. Their involvement has played a crucial role in increasing the game’s visibility and encouraging user participation.

  • @bearkill24: A YouTuber introducing blockchain-based P2E services.
  • @bbbentaco: One of the largest P2E community operators in Korea, and the CCGG Guild manager.
  • @jokerk: A blockchain blogger and community operator.

Notably, the CCGG community has posted a link to the Steemit event campaign on their Telegram channel, encouraging user participation.

2. Controversy within the STEEM Blockchain

The controversy regarding Cryptid Hunter has intensified since July. The criticism has primarily come from certain Witnesses, who have criticized the game without experiencing it firsthand, often basing their opinions on a few clicks. Additionally, there have been numerous unnecessary discussions—such as complaints about laptop purchases and emoji clicks—that detract from meaningful conversation about the game.

Some of the content created by these users has been deleted from Discord, and their continued use of biased logic and conversation methods has only led to further confusion. Instead of addressing the issues constructively, they have continued to ignore valid critiques. When issues with Cryptid Hunter and the STEEM blockchain were raised, they responded negatively, dismissing the criticisms without consideration. This has unfortunately undermined the trust in STEEM and created a less than favorable atmosphere.

In particular, some have expressed the belief that Cryptid Hunter should leave the STEEM blockchain, and the development team, which has been dedicated to the STEEM blockchain for over seven years, has been criticized for pointing out the flaws within the blockchain and the problems with certain Witnesses. As a result, the project has been labeled a scam, which highlights the serious issues facing the STEEM blockchain community.

3. DAO Operating Plan

Cryptid Hunter is moving towards a DAO-based operating structure. We are currently recruiting an operational team consisting of both STEEM blockchain users and TON-based Cryptid Hunter players. • Various Bug Fixes: Enhancing the game’s stability by addressing bugs.
