General Context of the Challenge

Hello Steemians,

For this final week of the Community World Tour, we invite you to uncover a powerful treasure, the language of wisdom. In every region, community and family, words pass from mouth to mouth not just to communicate, but to teach, heal, and guide.
For Week 6, our focus is on Idiomatic Expressions and Proverbs those memorable, poetic sayings that encapsulate generations of experience in a single phrase.

This is a week to let words speak, stories breathe, and voices echo across borders.

What You Must Share

Participants are invited to complete at least one of the following creative tasks. A video is mandatory for all entries this week.

1. “Living Proverbs”
Select a proverb or idiom from your region. Create a short video performance or reenactment that visually and emotionally expresses its meaning. You may use narration, acting, or animation.

2. “The Voice of the Ancients”
Record an elder or cultural bearer from your community explaining a traditional proverb and its role in daily life. Let their voice, gestures, and personality enrich the message.

3. “Visual Metaphors”
Illustrate an idiom using visual art or symbolism (drawing, collage, photography), and explain it in a voiceover video. Let imagination and image unite to speak a deeper truth.

4. “Modern Wisdom”
Invent your own proverb one that reflects today’s challenges or your personal journey. Present it in a short creative video and tell us why it matters.

All entries must be accompanied by a video uploaded to Speak on Steem or YouTube, and clearly connected to the idiom.

Image 1: The master and his woven words

In this frozen-in-time scene, a traditional master is depicted seated in a large carved chair, behind a richly hand-painted desk. He holds a baton of command, a symbol of authority and transmission. The white walls, colorful Berber rugs, and haphazardly arranged books transport us to a kouttab (Koranic school) of yesteryear.

Associated popular expression:

"الكلمة الطيّبة تفتح القلوب المغلوقة"
(Soft words open closed hearts.)

This scene illustrates the central role of the teacher in transmitting knowledge, not only through books, but through wisely chosen words. Every proverb spoken, every anecdote told becomes a seed planted in the minds of young people, so that one day, in turn, they can speak from the heart.

Image 2: The wise man and the inner waterfall

Against a painted natural backdrop, an oasis with a gushing waterfall, a man wrapped in a brown barnoussa rests calmly, holding a long shepherd's crook. He seems to be meditating, listening to the voice of the desert or having an inner dialogue with the elders.

Proverb passed down by the ancients:

"اسأل مجرّب، لا تسأل طبيب"
(Ask someone who has lived, not someone who has read.)

This silent sage embodies the oral memory of nomadic peoples, those who hold truths invisible to the hasty eye. He only speaks when he has to, but each word weighs more than the stones in the canyon. He reminds us that silence too can be speech and that proverbs are like springs in the desert: rare, but precious.

Geographic Location on SteemAtlas

Each proverb or idiom comes from somewhere. Pin it.
You must include a SteemAtlas location pin that shows the origin of the idiom, or the location of the person interviewed.

This reinforces the geographical memory behind the language.

Required Media

Each post must include:

  • At least one original video (required)
  • A photo showing your username and date
  • A SteemAtlas pin with correct location
  • Any supporting visuals (optional): drawings, objects, old writings
  • A short explanation of the idiom’s meaning and cultural value

The “TYPE LESS SMILE MORE” Closing Sentence

Close your post with a single, symbolic sentence poetic, humorous or philosophical that captures the spirit of the idiom or what it taught you.

Examples:
“Even silence can echo through generations.”
“My grandmother’s voice is the proverb I never forget.”

Let words linger like the final note of a melody.

Community Interaction

We encourage all participants to explore posts from other cultures and engage in meaningful conversations:

  • Comment on the meanings behind idioms
  • Compare with expressions from your own language
  • Ask about the historical or social context
  • Share how these sayings resonate beyond borders

This is your last opportunity to build bridges through cultural dialogue.

Hi @kouba, can you come on Discord? I need your help. Also, why haven't you tried my game or my tools? I was hoping you'd help me, as a fellow Tunisian, but you didn’t respond or help when I first tried to join Steem. Things are better now, but other Tunisians also want to join. Could you help them? If you can, please reply to me on Discord

As for me, I made this suggestion to you when you joined, and I explained to you all the secrets of the platform and even presented you with ideas that I wanted us to develop together. Instead, you chose to implement it alone, and this is a decision I did not comment it, but on the other hand, I sensed excessive selfishness from you and your insistence now on forming a group of Tunisians. I do not know the intention behind it, so I pledge not to make any answer.

Are you seriously the one who claimed to teach me the "secrets" of the platform?!
Ha! All you did was brag about how much money you were making and talk about your trip to Canada, funded by your Steem earnings—nothing more!

Then you said you wanted to build a chat for Steem — and guess what?! You failed to develop it!
You said you "couldn’t find a solution" — really?! I told you I could help!
And there was already a working chat app out there!!

And let me remind you—months ago, you accused someone of changing the score on your Steemit Challenge post, and you didn’t even know how to check the old version of a post! Or maybe you didn’t realize that every transaction is saved in the blockchain. You've been on the platform since 2017, and you don’t even know that? Come on. I was the one who explained it to you. How can you talk about 'secrets' when you don’t even know the basics? Knowing how to view edit history is essential—especially when it comes to catching plagiarism or farming. So please, don’t act like you ever taught me anything.
And let’s be honest—are there even any 'secrets'? If so, show them. I’m waiting.

Or are you referring to the secrets about how you accused the Venezuela community, how they supported each other with farming, and how you informed the Steemit team about this? You said to me that they have so much inflation, so they make a lot of money. Is this what you mean by the secrets of the platform?

Now let’s talk about my idea—the one I shared with you. And what did you say?
“Hey Omar, yes, it’s a good idea. I encourage you to get started.”
Well, I did. I built it. I finished it. And you said nothing. No feedback, no support. Just silence. Jealous, much?

Oh, and remember when you told me, “Let’s create a Tunisian community”? Then you vanished.

You were a Steemit representative, weren’t you? So where were you when I needed help? You ignored me for months until @steemcurator01 mentioned me. Only then did you show up—and still, you didn’t help. You just flexed your earnings and talked about your trip to Canada funded by Steem. Wow.

Honestly, I think you’re just jealous. No worries—I’ll handle things on my own.

By the way, the messages are still in Discord, so don’t lie. In the end, I just wanted to hear your explanation—why you told me, "let's create a Tunisian community," and then disappeared. Now I get it.

It's a nice play you're putting on to show the moderators that you have great potential and show your knowledge about the platform, and this is clear with the tag @steemcurator01, but I won't get involved with you in this matter, and all you have to do is work, my friend, and reduce the empty noise.

 3 days ago (edited)

Nice try, but don’t try to deflect the issue.
So now it’s about “reducing empty noise”? Funny, because you’re the one who started the noise. I simply asked where you went after you said we’d create a Tunisian community and organize an online meetup with people from Tunisia about Steem, and then poof, you disappeared.

And you talked about how you shared "secrets" and "ideas"? All you did was brag about how much you earn from Steem and what you’re doing with that money—a trip to Canada? That’s what you call "helping"?

I’m not here to play games. I’m just pointing out the truth. Case closed. I just wanted to know why you disappeared, and now I’ve got my response

This sounds familiar, birds of a feather? It's more like food for thought.
Two know more than one.
All hands on deck?

Ik kan wel even een boekje opendoen, maar ik word toch niet geloofd. Wie goed doet, goed ontmoet? Aan mijn hoela, ik weet precies hoe de vork in de steel zit.

Estimado amigo kouba01. He seguido los desafíos de esta temporada 25, pero tenía cierre de proyecto y ni atención solo era para eso.

Pero este último reto, creo que me atrevo a realizarlo.

Pronto estará mi entrada por aquí:
