Steem greetings, @everyone, and welcome to my blog as I present my weekly report as the Steem Representative. This is yet another week for me to report on my activities on the platform for the week of 23rd-30th April 2025.

It was another week of work with heads high while trying to scale a balance between offline commitments and business as usual on Steemit. This was not without some hitches. I had to seek alternative means to stay active on the platform as usual.

That said, below I will share my different activities carried out across the platform within the above-stated period.

Activities in Steem Cameroon Community.

It was a new week with new energy and we had to meet online to discuss as usual how to better manage the community account and other matters. This week, we did not have any major discussion but we met online and just chatted on life challenges given the fact that we are living in a conflict zone and also given the recent insecurities activities of armed secessionist groups in our town. Notwithstanding, we continued to urge everyone to motivate inactive members when we come across them to come back and stay active. We believe in the slogan “…we are stronger together”.

So far, some of the old inactive members are back though their activities on the platform are timid. We tried to encourage them to see the need for us to build a stronger community together. I continued to hold one-on-one discussions with some of the old and new inactive members and they assured me to be back. I'm still to see them take action and keep to their promises.

As a plagiarism leader and actively fighting all forms of abuse in the community, I had to ensure that content creators create quality content free from any form of abuse on steemit.

I continued to caution steemians especially newcomers about clicking on phishing links and operating 3rd party DApps via Discord. This is because they risk losing their Steemit accounts to hackers. I also informed them about “account recovery” within 30 days if not they stand to lose the account to hackers.

I continued with the mentorship of some newbies via Discord on the importance of being consistent, creating quality content and most importantly engaging with other users via meaningful comments. I cautioned them to also refrain from using AI to create content because we have a zero-tolerance policy towards AI users and plagiarists. I encouraged them to constantly power up steem to increase their steem power and support each other.

Contest

This is week 5 of the act of kindness contest on the steem-cameroon community to enable users to create different dynamics of content. I sponsored the contest with 10 SP. This will be a weekly contest.

For the week 4 winners, after reading through the entries, I realised that participants did not respect the rules of the contest, especially sharing a maximum of 4 original images of the act of kindness carried out over the week of the contest.
I hope for week 5 participants will respect the contest rules while showing kindness in their respective neighbourhoods.

Two entries were recorded but one was not validated because the contestant used old images to participate. 10 steem was transferred to one of the contestants by name @berda01 for his act of kindness project.

Steemit Promotion.

The present economic situation in my country makes it difficult to get new users on Steemit. However, I continued to use my WhatsApp status to promote Steemit to my contacts. During this week’s promotion I was not able to create any new account but hopefully one day someone will find interest in creating an account.

Steemit Challenge

I was opportune to participate in one of the Steemit challenges during this week. Hopefully, I will be able to participate in more of the challenges.

I equally engaged with other Steemit users by commenting and giving feedback on the posts.

Power Up Liquid Steem it

I powered up some liquid steem which enabled me to add my SP to support other content creators on the platform.

Support Other Content Creators with a @chant Account.

I used my effective Steem power of over 68k to support steemians with quality content on the platform.

Preference was given to authors writing creative and quality articles across the platform. Over the week, I reached out to 98 accounts and upvoted 127 posts with a CSI score of 16.6.

At this juncture, I have come to the end of my presentation of my weekly activities report.

Regards!
