Team02: Curation Report Week 2 [May 2025]

Hello friend, I have the pleasure to present you the Second activity report of the community curator team #2 corresponding to the month of may with the account steemcurator04.

During this second week that started on May 8 and ended on May 14 we read different communities and blogs and supported other authors according to our curation guidelines and Steemit rules, being an amazing week. Priority was given to authors with exclusive Steem posts, free of plagiarism, not using bots or AI to generate content.
For this week, each curator was assigned a specific day to help authors meet the standards. Each curator was required to curate at least 20 quality posts and comments per day, as they add value to the content. After the various curation days, each curator curated an average of at least 21 posts per day. This can be seen in the table below.

For the curatorial phase, a total of 160 entries were curated, with an average of at least 21 entries per curatorial shift distributed among the curators.
Curation by country
During this week, the team visited a total of 17 countries, with Venezuela at the top of the list, followed by Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nigeria, respectively.

The following table indicates the club status of the different users supported with positive votes. The highest number of positive votes corresponded to authors with club5050, club100, no club and club75 respectively.

We are not limited to specific tags, we try to cover different tags to reach more authors by following the content created by different authors and the following graph represents the statistics of the different tags headed by the tags #thediarygame and #creativewriting.

I apologize in advance if my explanation is not as expected. What I know is that the selected category on the Steemit platform is a selection of content that is considered the most relevant and interesting from several other contents according to the specified categories. For example, discussing the categories thediarygame, SLC, steemexclusive, and others. Usually this selected content is carried out by a team of curators who have been entrusted by the Steemit Team.
Thus, it will make it easier for other users to find interesting content and can see if the content is of high quality. Content that is included in the selected category will be easily found by other users to read and comment on. Content that has been named a selected category will get a bigger reward so that it can spur the enthusiasm of users in presenting high-quality posts. That's my explanation of the selected category 🙏🙏

It's my believe that everyone using these hashtags can find as many entries as they like.
The diarygame started to give people who cannot write something to write about and discussions were already about giving up on it (same the did with the SEC) because it simply doesn't work and takes away the creativity. Next to that everyone who write diaries, which aren't real diaries since what is written you will never find in a personal diary, can free write by now. All it needs is a more attractive title.
It's not true that there are curators designed to upvote these posts. The SC should upvote everywhere and everything, good comments included and all nations not only in their own club of friends, which is frequently the case.
Most curators rarely read or comment so it's easier and it's less time consuming to simply go to one community and upvote 5-8 posts and go on to the next and do the same.
That's how it works, unfortunately.

Thank you very much for the support and assessment you gave to my comment, I really appreciate it🙏. I must admit that there are indeed curators who choose a content to be a selected category based on friendships in a country or how often they gather together to sit around and relax while drinking coffee.
I often find these things, and I say this specifically for curators from the country. I also often find curators giving selected categories to beautiful female users, if I ask them why should it be done like that? They easily answer if you want to be like that then apply to be a curator.
During my time with the Steemit Platform, all of my content that was selected as a selected category was given by friends from abroad that I did not know. never once has my content been selected by a curator from my country.
