Melochia corchorifolia

Melochia corchorifolia is a plant species that comes from the Malvaceae family. In my area this plant grows as a wild plant and is often considered a weed. Even though this plant has a unique and interesting flower shape if used as an ornamental plant, I think the flowers that this plant produces are really tempting.

This plant can be found in various tropical regions such as Africa, Asia and South America. Melochia corchorifolia is known as a plant that is easy to grow and has good adaptation to the environment. Therefore, this plant is often found growing wild along roads, in open ground, or in many other locations. So don't be surprised if you find this plant in many places.

Melochia corchorifolia has medium-sized stems, reaching approximately 1-3 meters in height. The leaves are dark green, oval in shape and serrated at the edges and have a smooth, slightly hairy surface. Flowers grow on plant branches and are purple, red, pink, yellow or white. Coincidentally, what I encountered is a double color, namely pink combined with yellow.

There are some people who say this plant can be beneficial for health such as helping to overcome digestive problems, reduce fever, and overcome pain in the joints. I don't really know about it because I've never tried it. I did not dare to try it for fear of poisoning.
