Homemade Chai I Make Everyday

in Shyra2 months ago

Making chai in a pateeli is one of the simplest yet most satisfying experiences in desi households

Chai isn’t just a drink it’s an emotion, the process is quick taking just a few minutes, but the taste linger for hours i made my chai the classic way boiling water adding tea leaves patti and enhancing the flavor with ilaichi cardamom, while many people love adding spices like cinnamon cloves or ginger i kept mine simple and pure just how i like it.

To begin i poured water into a pateeli and set it on the stove, as the water heated i added a generous amount of patti letting it swirl and infuse its rich color, the moment the water darkened i crushed some ilaichi pods and tossed them in releasing their warm and slightly sweet fragrance, the air filled with the comforting scent of tea making the whole kitchen feel cozier.

Once the tea had brewed well i added milk and let it come to a rolling boil, this is the part where patience pays off the longer the tea simmers the deeper and creamier the flavor, a few more minutes of boiling and stirring and the chai was ready to be poured, the color was perfect the aroma divine and the excitement of taking that first sip was real.

Drinking the first sip felt like pure bliss, the ilaichi gave it a unique touch adding a soft fragrant sweetness to the strong tea flavor,it was smooth warm and exactly the kind of chai that makes every moment better, whether it’s early in the morning or after a long day a cup of this simple yet magical tea can uplift anyone’s mood.

Chai is not just a drink it’s a tradition especially in Pakistan and India where people cherish it every day, some prefer their chai strong some milky and others with a mix of spices, but for me nothing beats a classic cup with just patti and ilaichi It’s quick to make tastes heavenly and is the ultimate comfort drink that brings people together.
