Do it Yourself Round 69: Banana Cake My Way

in Steem Kids & Parents9 hours ago

Hello everyone! I hope we are all in the grace and mercy of the Lord Almighty. Today I will share with you the banana cake I made some time ago. Yesterday,I came across @mesola's do it yourself contest round 69 and I wondered what to make as an entry, good thing I was scrolling back to the old pictures I had and found these; immediately, I thought of doing this post.

I am a crafty woman and I really can't sit alone without doing anything thus I wanted to learn anything that could make me busy and worth my while. Just in time my sister was gifted a convention oven and she baked a lot of times; she was a good baker but the price of the ingredients are too pricey to make even more.

One day, my brother in law brought so many lakatan bananas at home and they did not ripe until a few weeks after. That time, I t was on December and I had a long time staying at home and decided to make banana cakes not for the family alone but also for the husband's side of family as well.

Lakatan banana is not usually the banana used to make a cake, it was a green when ripe banana bit what can I do when this is the banana I had. My sister showed her disapprovement but yeah, when cooked she ate anyway.

Here's how I made the banana cake.

I peeled the rips banana first and put them into the bowl; The banana were small , perhaps they lack fertilizers when they are grown but even though its size, it is still sweet and delicious. The bananas were already ripening so I thought of this way in using them because the family had too much of it and they don't like to eat more anymore.

Then I sliced the banana, so that it will be easier for me to beat them; I don't have a food processor I planned on using the mixer to mash it up so mixing them with other ingredients will be much more easier.

My daughter helped me, Since I am new to this, I used the rice cooker bowl. My kids are diligent and they wanted to learn things that I do.

As I was waiting for my daughter to finish, I looked at the cracked eggs and realized that hey are beautiful!

Here is the batter before I put them on a preheated oven; they are made of banana, four, of course, baking soda, baking powder, a pinch of salt, eggs, sugar, vegetable oil and milk. I had to use a parchment paper so that it will not stick to the baking tray. The cakes are in the over for an hour and it slowly rose and became golden brown, s delicious! The aroma it releases while baking is so heavenly.

Behold! The banana cakes I made!

While waiting for the cake to be cooked, I had to tent to my kids, my son put on his diapers on his head because he was very silly that I had to take a picture, hoping to show this to him when he grows up and we will have a great laugh.

My daughter also asked me to put on the crochet hair piece I made for her and she looked very cutie!

This is just one of the many great moments I had in life and I am glad to have documented them, and shared with you. This will be all, I hope you enjoyed my banana cake recipe.
