THE LEARNING ATTITUDE OF CHILDREN

Introduction:
Children are created learners. They learn as they live. Parents and guardians should be mindful of this. Don't just tell them to do but be careful of what you do around them and how you live your life. Parents and teachers are role models to our children. Intentionally teach them with your lifestyle. This is because children learn as they live.

Here are some dispositions :
A child that lives with security learns to have faith .
A child that lives with affection learnes to love.
A child that lives with approval learns to like himself.
A child that lives with tolerance learns to be patient.
A child that lives with hostility learns to fight.
A child that lives with knowledge learns wisdom.
A child that lives with sharing learns to be considerate.
A child that lives with praise learns to appreciate.
A child that lives with distrust learns to be deceitful.
A child that lives with criticism learns to condemn.
A child that lives with ridicule learns to be timid.
A child that lives with fairness learns justice.
This is an awakening call to parents and guardians to be mindful of our lives so as to pave way for the upcoming generation.

I for one had an experience growing up. I was ridiculed, talked down on. This made me grow up very timid and shy. I battled with this complex for years, loss many opportunities because i find it difficult to express myself. It affected my relationship with people and how I reacted to situations, i didn't see myself good enough for anything. This continued for years, but God helped me. For the bible said that God has not given us the Spirit of timidity but of love, of power and of sound mind. God came through for me and here I am.

My experience should be a lesson to many parents to always use positive words on our children while teaching them, not the other way around . Be a good example to that child you are nurturing. Learn to appreciate them after success in little task done. Love and care for them like no other. I believe this will go a long way in creating that result we look forward to in the upcoming generation.
