My Entry for the [Blind Audition Stage] in VOS

Greetings to all steemians, i trust we all had a lovely weekend. I know i had one. I am @Onlyonefave, a contest in the Voice Of Steemit(VOS) singing competition. I'm excited to participate in this contest because it is a new and unique one. I was happy when I saw the video update, and now a singing competition? Steemit just gets better, I can't lie. I want to give special thanks to @bossj23 for this mind-blowing contest.

The song i sang was released in 2024 and it was sang by a Nigerian artist, Ayra Starr ft Giveon in her album "The Year I Turned 21".
I've loved the song since it was released. Its a very emotional song. It can relate to both friendship and relationship. A one-sided type of friendship. We all know the saying that "20 friends cannot play together for 20 years".
Change is bound to happen. I relate to the song very well because most times i put my all into friendships and don't get the same energy back.

Though both of us had the same energy at the beginning but along the line, they change and the vibe isn't just there anymore. Its just one person that is giving her all, just one person that is putting in energy, just one person that is doing the texting, calling, planning hangouts and the rest. Believe it or not, it gets tiring at some point and you just have to let go. Not everyone is meant to stay.

This song is saying when the energy is gone, there's no need to pretend, you'll be good on your own without the other person.
Though it's sad to let go but sometimes we have to do what we have to do.

I love singing indoors because I'm really shy in public. But this competition will help me put myself out there. I'm usually scared of competitions like this because i feel bad when I don't win. But recently, I've come to realize that its not all about winning, its about the experience, having fun in every stage and getting to build new connections

I'm happy this competition was organized because many people here have different talent. This is an opportunity to show the world what we have and that steemit is a lot more than writing. This community has space for everyone, not just writers alone. We embrace everyone here.

I don't have any suggestions for improvement because everything is perfect to me.
I have a question though:
Is the Coaching part compulsory?
And for the instrumentals, can we use any audio version we have?
Also about the reward, will the 500 steems be given to one person or will it be shared in a group?
Will complementary prizes be given to at least the 2nd and 3rd place participant?
