I and my son on a stroll to school: My creative writing [02:04:2025]

Greetings steemit friends of this amazing community. I'm @ntyprince from @nigeria, in this post, I want to share with all of you my creative writing of a stroll to the school where I work as a teacher. Please stay tuned.

2nd of April, 2025 was set aside for the teaching staff of Kings and Queens Royal Schools to submit their result sheets to the school management for computing of results for this term.

As the sun rises over the sleepy town, I wake up to the sound of my alarm blaring in my ear. I stretch, yawn, and swing my legs over the side of the bed, my feet dangling in the air. My two and a half years son, Princewill, is still fast asleep beside me, his gentle snores a soothing soundtrack to our morning routine.

I gently shake him awake, and he rubs his eyes, still groggy from sleep. "Good morning, sweetie"I whisper, planting a soft kiss on his forehead. "Today's a big day. We have to get ready for school." Princewill's eyes light up, and he sits up straight, his face breaking into a wide smile. "Good morning mommy, it's good to see you God bless you" "he exclaimed" his excitement infectious.

As we begin our morning routine, I feel a sense of pride and purpose wash over me. As a caring mother and a dedicated teacher, I've always made it my priority to ensure Princewill receives the best as much as I could. And today is no exception.

After we're both dressed and ready, I head to the kitchen for breakfast. I prepare a simple but nutritious meal of garri with vegetable soup. As we eat, I glance at the clock on the wall, making sure we're running on schedule. I have an important task to complete today - submitting my result sheet to the head teacher. As a teacher, I take my responsibility to provide accurate and timely feedback to my pupils and their parents seriously.

Once breakfast is over, I grab my bag along my son and head out the door, walking hand in hand to school. The morning air is crisp and cool, filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers and the sound of birds chirping in the trees.

As we approach the school gates, Princewill gives my hand a squeeze. "Mommy, I'm going to play with my friends today, will you beat me?" he asks, looking up at me with big, hopeful eyes.

I smile and ruffle his hair. "I will not beat you sweetie, but always be careful while playing. We exchange a tender kiss on the cheek, and then Princewill runs off to join his friends, leaving me to complete my task. I take a deep breath, feeling a sense of pride and accomplishment wash over me.

Being a mother and a teacher is a challenging but rewarding job, and I feel grateful to be able to play such a significant role in shaping young minds. With my result sheet in hand, I head to the head teacher's office, ready to submit my report and discuss the progress of my pupils.

As I walk, I feel a sense of purpose and dedication, knowing that I'm making a difference in the lives of my Pupils and their families.

And as I submit my result sheet and receive a warm smile from the head teacher, I know that it's all worth it, every early morning, every late night, every sacrifice. Because in the end, it's not just about being a mother or a teacher - it's about being a role model, a mentor, and a source of inspiration for the next generation.

As we came back from school, I checked on my good neighbor, @megareigns who just introduced me to steemit. Luckily, he was around to put me through some markdowns application and he did a great job mentoring me.

Thank you for your time, I really appreciate.
