Memory of the day- Saturday April 19, 2025
Saturday, 19th April was a very wonderful day for my, my family and friends as well as my dear brothers and sisters in our circuit. It was a day that was set aside for our circuit Assembly and that was the second Assembly for this year. It was announced last year and the reminder was always given to help everyone who will be in attendance to prepare and as well before for time off from work for those who are employees.
Preparing for this Assembly involves preparing our hearts and minds to receive the spiritual food that has been carefully prepared for us. The them of the Assembly was: Behave in a way worthy of the Goodnews! It lasted from 9.40 am till 4pm and that was almost 8 hours long program. However, it was divided into morning and afternoon session. The screenshot of the program is below and the link to the soft copy of the program is here

My family and I, as well as the family that went with us in our vehicle decided to prepare a special dish that will be eaten in the afternoon during the noon break. In the night before that day, we prepared the African dish in that family's house. This made it very easy for us so that we wouldn't have to stress ourselves in the morning. It was an unusual food for me and my family because we hadn't gone to any Assembly or Convention with such dish before. It was Afang soup and garri/fufu. It was prepared in a way that we won't overeat. Just very small swallow.
In the morning of that day, we woke up as a family, did our house chores as usual, took our shower and got dressed in our already ironed clothes. We were wonderfully clothed. I already had a new hair which I made for the memorial of Chris' death. It is still fine for the day. Just take a look at the pictures I took before leaving the house

We left the house by 8am to go pick up the family we wanted to go with in the same vehicle. We were able to pick them up and then we zoomed off. There was no stoppage until we got to the superstore where we bought serviette and toothpick. I also bought biscuits and back for my shoe since I was wearing a flat footwear. I planned wearing a heelly footwear. Alright, we moved and got to the Assembly Hall by 9.20am. 20 minutes is left for the program to begin. We took that opportunity to take the kids out to use the restroom. There, we took pictures within the Assembly hall premises, upon taking out seats, we also took another picture before the program began at exactly 9.40am with a music.

The program began following the sequence on the list. Each speaker thoroughly explained their part, helping us to know how we can let our lives revolve around the doing of God's will, behaving in a manner that is worthy of the Goodnews we share. We won't want our actions to bring reproach to the goodnews we bear and share.
The program included interviews and demonstrations where experiences and demonstrations were shared, driving home the lessons. One sticking experience was the one that a sister picked up a wallet that belonged to her customer. The wallet contained credit cards and a huge sum of money. The customer never came back for it because he forgot where he had lost it. But the sister took the pains to go to the customer's bank so as to trace the owner, she then dropped her contact in case the customer is able to be found. thankfully, the customer was able to trace his way to our dear sister who handed over the wallet to the owner with everything in tact. The customer was so surprised that in today's world, there are still honest people. He offered to reward the sister but she refused.
This was a wonderful testimony as the customer appreciated and valued us as a result. Othe experiences were shared and we learnt great lessons as a result. Yes, I personally need to let my actions speak louder than my words. I should treat people well and shared the goodnews with boldness.
There was a noon break that enabled us to go out and eat our delicious meals. We shared it with others and others sheared theirs with us too. It was a uniting moment for us all.
Later, the program was concluded and we left with the rich spiritual foods in tact, ready to make personal applications of what we learnt. But not without taking pictures with our dear brothers and sisters that met us

As it is, we are anticipating another mi d blowing regional convention come August. It is going to be massive as it will be held at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium here in Uyo, Akwaibom State in the city that I currently resides in. Preparations are ongoing already. It's going to be another moments of joy and rich spiritual instructions. I can't wait!
