Steem Memory Game Contest Week 14: Transportation
Hello Fellow Steemians!!
I am hoping you had a lovely day.
So i decided to enter the steem memory game contest for this week with the theme transportation.
This is quite a fitting theme as we all use one means of transportation almost everyday.
It could be motor car, motorcycle, airplane, bicycle, bus, boat, train, etc. Before talking about transportation in detail, I'll love to share my memory game experience.
My Memory Game Experience |
---|
It is always a pleasure playing memory game.
The precision, timing, and level of recollection can never be downplayed when it comes to memory game. One must be very fast, accurate, and must be a person that easily remembers things.
I will say to an extent i tried today, even if i could have done better, i had quite a stressful day, and i just happened to open Steemit and see this challenge and i thought i must jump on it because why not.It was really a spur-of-the-moment decision . I played the free mode version and below is my game technique point break down:
Game Techniques | Points |
---|---|
Time Bonus | 220.59 |
Move | 760 |
Perfect Match Score | 500 |
Total=1480
There were about fourteen different mode of transportation that i came across while playing the game, namely: Airplane, Bicycle, Bus, Car, Container, Truck, Boat, Ferry, Speed Boat, Jetski, Motorbike, Scooter, and Train.
Of all this modes of transportation the fastest is airplane. This is because a typical commercial airplane has a speed of about 800–950 km/h (500–600 mph), which is much faster than cars, trains, or ships. Normal speed limit for cars in Nigeria which is my country is about 120km/h in comparison.
Another reason why airplanes are seen as the fastest is that it has a direct routes for traveling(i.e planes travel in straight lines across the sky, avoiding ground obstacles, traffic, and terrain). This way it can cover thousands of kilometers, in minutes and no other common transport beats air travel in terms of time.
Of all these modes of transportation i love using car or buses more. Maybe it is because it is where i mostly have adventures.
The Bus Ride That Stays With Me |
---|
Recently i travelled by bus from Akwa-Ibom to Lagos with a few friends and i must say the trip was a mix of fun, stress and anxiety.
So it started off smooth and lovely , until the driver got to a state which didn't have such good roads like the ones we had passed earlier on. My problems started here. With every gallop the bus entered i had an equivalent reaction in my belly, i became road sick all of a sudden. My friend had to switch sit with me so i could sit near the window and receive air.
It continued for a while and i felt i would have to continue bearing this torture till we sighted my favorite fruit in traffic in the hands of the road side hawkers. Happily i quickly bought a few Chrysophyllum albidum which commonly called African star apple or “Agbalumo” in Yoruba and “Udara” in Igbo. Thankfully it was the very sweet one, which is sold in the Eastern part of my country i.e Igbo land.
After a few licks i was sitting up straight and singing happily, the stomach pain stopped, no more feeling nausea all was finally well.
When the bus got to the west i.e yoruba land i and my friends were just so excited about the huge rocks we were seeing as we passed through Ondo, and Ogun state. We were really happy to see this rocks in person because the description the books told about this rocks did not do them justice. Some where so huge we wondered how many people it would take to lift it up.
At first we said we would take pictures of this rocks but we were lost in awe of its beauty and not too long afterwards the bus develop problems and had to be fixed immediately. We spent more than two hours fixing the bus and when we were finally done, darkness began to take over, we could no longer see the rocks nor the other beauty sights we were gazing upon.
The rivers, the development that has been done across each of these different states. its uniqueness in people, structures and roads were things we chatted about all through the journey.
The total time we spent on our journey from Akwa-Ibom to Lagos was about 10 hours if on the road by commercial bus. Sitting for that long in the bus was not funny at all but traveling with friends i could chat with and seeing those magnificent sights are things i would not trade for anything in the world.
Yes if we had choosen to use the airplane it would have been 45 minutes to an hour to our destination but we would have lost out on all of that sightseeing. For me i would still choose sightseeing and adventure again and again.
Like my brother always says live a little! And i did just that.
Next time you want to travel a distance I'll say try a bus trip with friends. It would be worth it.
Thank you for reading.
I now invite my friends:@bossj23 @okere-blessing and @emmalex25 to play memory game and share their experiences.
