Writing Expedition Contest #117/Powering up for the first time

Greetings my steemit family. Happy Sunday to you all. So today I did my first powering up. I followed the teachings of @saintkelvin17 and @akareen in one of their article in steem kids and parents.

I understood the importance of powering up through their article and they are;
🎈It determines the number of upvotes I can give to my fellow user when I upvoted their article.
🎈it also determines the reward I'll earn.
🎈Trust is build through powering up.
🎈Steemit platform grows higher through powering up.
🎈It also increases the price of steem in the crypto market.

So I'll be illustrating the steps I followed to power up.

STEP 1
I login to my steemit profile and clicked on wallet from my dashboard.

STEP 2
I clicked on the arrow beside the steem amount.

STEP 3
A drop down box appeared and I clicked on power up.

STEP 4
I entered the amount of steem in the box as seen in the picture and I clicked on power up.

STEP 6
Another interface appeared and I clicked on Ok.

STEP 7
An interface requesting me to sign in appeared, I entered my private owner key and clicked on sign in.

This was the processes I followed to power up. From the picture below you can see that my steem reduced from 68.727 to 58.727 while my steem power increased from 73.071 to 83.071.
