#Update 106: Writing Expedition ✍🏻: The Diary Game- Celebrating my Matriculation Day

Hi wonderful friends.. How are you doing today? Am sure you've been good.. Am okay too. It's another week of writing contest on different topics and ideas. Today, I will be sharing with you on how I spent day and guess what, it was happy and joyful day. Just read on;

MY DIARY GAME

I woke up by 6:00am in the morning with the help of my alarm. I knelt down right beside my bed and said my morning prayers. I dressed up my bed. As a student who stays alone, I didn't have much house chores to do. So,I only wash my plates, sweeped my room, and filled my empty buta and containers with water. After doing all these, I went back go the bed and relaxed.

Actually, am a student of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede which is located at Owerri. I got my admission this year and our matriculation day was meant to hold on 27th of February, 2025. But due to some reasons best known to the school authorities, they rescheduled it to today being the 17th day of April, 2025. To be very honest, I was so happy that finally the d- day was here and its my day of celebration. I have longed awaited for this day and it was here and I was full of smiles.

The time for the event was by 10am prompt. So, it was 9:15am already, so I stood from the bed and went to my kitchen and prepared my breakfast consisting of noodles, egg and riped plantain. I ate up quickly and took my shower. Immediately, I remembered that matric gown that hey gave us was too rumpled to put on. We didn't have light at that moment, so i had to go to the dry cleaner who stays in my street to iron my matric gown for me to look more decent and smart in it. Within fifteen minutes, the dry cleaner was done ironing,I paid him and went back to dress up.

On getting to my lodge, it was already 10: 15am. The event has already started. So, I quickly dressed up. I needed to do a little touches on my face to look more stunning. So, I called my makeup artist, she came without wasting time. She arranged me well by fixing my lashes, toe nails, fingernails, and make-ups. At the final result, I was soo beautiful..🤗 When I was done with everything, it was 11:00am. I set off for the event.

On getting to the event centre, the matriculating students was already marching in to the event ground. So, I cued into the line and marched in with them. This event is a thing of celebration and joy. So, I invited my friends and family to come join and celebrate with me. While on the ceremonial ground, my sister called me notifying me that she has arrived at the school premises. So, I came out of the event ground and went to pick her. When I saw her, I was really filled with joy, happiness, laughter, etc. We hugged each other, cracked jokes, had funny moment together, etc.

My sister gave me the gifts she brought for me which included a pair of heels, set of jewelries, and deodorants. I was so excited because I didn't expect that much from her. Not only that, she took me to a fast food where she got me a plate of fried rice and chicken with chilled malt. Indeed, it was huge and massive!! So, we got back to the event center and took some pictures with our phones and also took pictures from the photographers at the ceremonial stand. We gave us the pictures as a hard copy for keeping memories.

Before we could knew it, it was 6pm already. I headed to my lodge with my sister. I ate up the rice she bought for me as my dinner. Actually, I invited a lot of people which included my aunts, uncles, friends, loved ones, but none of them showed up except from my lovely sister @chigraze. This is the main reason why I don't joke with her because she's always at my beck and call, loves me unconditionally, and gives me support anytime, any day. She was the only that came and cheered me up on my special day and I valued it so much.

I had my bathe, went through my messages, replied all the people who wished me well. I as well saw their gifts too. My uncles and aunties who didn't came apologize and sent me money in order to support me. I also received airtime, data, money from my friends too. I appreciated every little gifts they gave to me. After that, I layed down and here am I posting and checking my notifications here on steemit..😊 To my lovely sister who came around and surprised me, I want to say a big thank you for everything. In fact, you're one in a million sister..!! I love you immensely!!😍

In Summary, Indeed, today was a special, joyful and great day for me. For those of us here who have been in this area of life, knows how it feels to be a matriculating student. Lastly, I return all the glory to God almighty for a successful matriculation. Indeed, God is faithful.
