Owning My Mistake: A Sincere Apology and Commitment to Integrity
Greetings to the entire house,
Dear steemkidsnparents community, today I write not to share a story or an idea but to acknowledge a mistake a significant one that I made. In a previous post of mine I made a huge mistake that goes against the very values I believe this platform stands for, I used content that was not originally mine without giving proper credit. That is, by definition, plagiarism. And for that, I am truly sorry.

What I did wasn't just a technical error, it was a breach of trust. Trust between a writer and the reader, between a creator and their community. And it’s only fair that I own it, publicly and honestly. At that time I thought I could borrow pictures without consequences, just to make my post look better and attractive. But creativity is built on honesty, and the foundation of this platform is trust. By violating that trust, I not only disrespected the original creator but also let down this entire community and I am sorry for that.
I understand now that every post matters, not just for what the person post is saying but for the effort and soul someone poured into writing it. As a platform that thrives on originality and authentic voices, Steemit deserves better from every contributor—including me. To the content creator whose pictures I reused, I offer my deepest apologies. Your work deserved recognition, and I failed to provide that and for that I am deeply sorry.
When I first joined Steemit, I was drawn to the idea of sharing my voice and connecting with others. I now realize that part of being in this space is not just about what you share, but how you share it. Originality isn’t optional—it’s the heartbeat of everything we do here. I am not proud of what I did but I am proud to take responsibility, from this moment forward I commit to
• No shortcuts - every piece of content or post made by me will absolutely be my own or fully credited.
• Transparency - I strongly believe this is the back bone of every community and I shall adhere to it and if I use any inspiration or reference I'll clearly state it.
• Respect - for fellow creators, for the rules and for the spirit of creativity.
Everyone makes mistakes. What defines us is how we respond. I hope to rebuild the trust I’ve lost—not with words alone, but with consistent, honest effort in the days ahead.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for holding me accountable. And thank you for giving people like me the space to learn, grow, and do better.
It's good you have realised your mistakes. There is no room for plagiarism here on the blog.
